Cinderella and the Four Knights Episodes 13 & 14

Episode 13

+ Ha-won and Ji-woon were very cute. I love how affectionate and open they are with each other once they decided to date.

+ Ja-Young going to Seo-woo to sadly give him advice on dating Ha-won and her blessing was delightful all around. I love that her advice was equally about helping Seo-woo and helping Ha-won. How well she knows her best friend and how much she obviously loves her came across so well.

+ I loved the chicken dinner scene. Seo-woo and Ha-won continue to be adorable together and Ji-woon desperately trying to avoid being discovered under the table was genuinely funny.

+ I'm surprised that Seo-woo didn't take the revelation of Ha-won's contract as a reason for why she turned him down and decide to pursue her again. He didn't even seem to consider it. I loved that he immediately acted to protect Ha-won (and Ji-woon) from discovery from Yoon-sung even though he was reeling from shock and confusion. I love that he's dealing with his unrequited love for Ha-won himself and not putting it on her. Poor Seo-woo.

+ Yoon-sung's warming towards his mother worked well enough. Seeing and hearing proof of her regret for leaving him and desire to be there for him was enough to make him finally reaching out believable.

+ I miss Ha-won and Hyun-min interacting, and I'm disappointed by how much he isn't a part of her storyline anymore.

+ I do not feel sympathy for Ha-won's dad. I don't care what he thought, he raised Ha-won and to turn on her like that was inexcusable. He's an ass and doesn't deserve Ha-won's instant forgiveness.

Episode 14

+ I really wish the show had spent more time on the Yoon-sung/Hwa-ja storyline. The flashback of his father abusing his mother and his declaration later that "I have something important I want to protect." certainly helped to further explain their complicated relationship and his complicated feelings for his mother. BUT I don't know if it's enough to make me believe him choosing to side with her and stage a takeover (??) of Haneul Group. Up until now he has been very devoted to Chairman Kang and this is a very rapid switch in allegiances. Especially in addition of him not even visiting the hospital (guilt?) Oh, Yoon-sung. He's probably the one who most deserves the position (and wants it and is probably qualified for it) but this is so much not the way that it's for sure going to backfire on him.

+ Hwa-ja jumping on the opportunity to put the blame for Chairman Kang's collapse on Ha-won was so cruel. I wonder if the reveal of this is what will cause Yoon-sung to switch from siding with her?
