Nancy Drew 3x04 Thoughts
The Demon of Piper Beach
+ Bess's ideas and place as research of supernatural guru being ignored and it really bothering her didn't really hit for me simply because up until now she hasn't been ignored? Up until now they've taken turns doing research and they've always listened to whoever did the research so it felt false for it to come up like this. They've always been supportive of Bess. It kind of annoys me.
I wish that the issue had been entirely been about her restarting the woman in white and everyone not being as supportive of that and/or her friendship/apprenticeship with Penance being regard with suspicion. It would have made more sense to me.
+ I love that everyone is immediately all "of course" about taking Bess's opinions seriously except for George who went with "I'll think about it", lol.
+ The dream bus ride was delightful. Fangry Bess! Bess going off on everyone and their reactions. Ace peeking over the seat. Everyone worried about the eyes on the road. Bess collecting everyone in a mystery bus. Bess pointing out how loud their whispering is.
+ Nancy's dream makeout with Ace was great.
+ Ace hugging Bess as he promised they'd support her woman in white revival made me aww.
+ I like the idea of Ryan working with Nick at the youth centre and I like that he has some sort of focus now. Ryan just happily going over to join the kids at the table to eat cookies and then staying there for the entire scene amused me and then he was the one to ask the kids about their dreams.
+ Sometimes I remember how weird it is that Ryan is part of the group. He had an affair with underage George and now he's working with George and her fiance Nick, who used to date his daughter. It's very soap opera. Now I'm wishing the show would have Ryan and George interact one-on-one so I can see how they are now.
+ I loved the little facial exchange between George and Nick when she said she dyed her sand black. Cute.
+ "Melatonin gummies. Carson gave them to me he was trying to get me to not have late night video games so I'd do more of my chore wheel." - Ryan. LOL. He and Bess working together was cute and I loved his knowing teasing of Carson over his work date.
+ Nancy should have told Carson about the sleepwalking demon even if he wasn't yet in danger. Isn't he supposed to be in the loop now? Is it Ryan's job to tell him?
+ Bess promising not to read Nick's texts but then second guessing for a second was such a great little Bess moment.
+ If Bess (and Penance?) are recreating the Women In White then I hope Nancy and George end up becoming a part of it.
