iariaMeh, it was okay.
+ I liked the turtles and their relationships fine.
+ April’s undercover operation with the tailing and quick costume change was great. I also liked her stealing the ooze sequence. But overall she didn't really have a ton to do and as with the first I was really missing seeing her being friends with the turtles.
+ Rocksteady and Bebop were ridiculous and over the top but honestly that's kind of how they should be so they worked for me. I enjoyed their friendship with each other, the general fun they had all movie and their silliness. Also this:
Bebop: Dude! Seriously!?
Rocksteady: Yep, that’s my bad. I got a little carried away.
after Rocksteady uses the tank to shoot up the plane was genuinely funny.
+ I was really amused by the extremely predictable Raphael jumping from the plane "No regrets, no fear. (jumps) Ahhhh! I regret this! Fear sucks!" LOL. I liked how the turtles all had each other's backs during the plane jump.
+ I really enjoyed Michelangelo's genuine support/happiness for Rocksteady and Bebop and their mutant transformation. His 'good for them' when he thought they'd learned to fly, him praising the mohawk, him going "nice of them to say goodbye" in the river. It was sweet. Now I want them to be friends.
+ Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman was kind of fun. I enjoyed how much glee he was taking in everything.
+ I really disliked the music/soundtrack. I found it really distracting and some of the choices really detracted from what was happening on screen.
+ Maybe I imprinted on Elias Koteas as Casey Jones too hard but Stephen Amell didn't really work for me as the character.
+ Hard meh on the little bit of April/Casey flirting we got sadly.
+ Shredder being surprised that Krang betrayed him and the fact that he wasn’t planning to betray Krang (what?!) was very unbelievable. I was waiting for Shredder to have some sort of plan to take control of the situation but nothing? Meh.
+ Using Rocksteady and Bebop as lab rats to see what the ooze does makes sense because they were there and expendable. But “next generation of combat soldiers’??? LOL, no. The side-eye Karai gave him was perfect. Also the job he sent them to do could absolutely been handled by regular foot clan.
+ Police chief Vincent waiting for the turtles with a row of cops with their guns pointed as they emerged from the sewer was terrible. They’re coming out as allies! All it takes is one guy to freak out.
