iariaChapter 3: 'Saetani'
+ I really like this added Yeon backstory with Hong-joo and Moo-young. I love the close friendship as children and the promise to each other that life ended up breaking. I'm very interested in this storyline. I can't wait until Moo-young and Yeon meet for real again.
+ I like Hong-joo and Moo-young. The way he protected Hong-joo from the Saetani and how torn Hong-joo was in her loyalty. I loved her protecting Yeon from Moo-young but also protecting Moo-young's identity.
+ Hong-joo turning on Yeon to the extent she did after his latest rejection was both surprising and not. I feel like despite her making it harder on Yeon with the music and then washing her hands of the situation afterwards she never really thought Yeon would be killed.
+ Rang and Yeon are still super great to watch. Rang having so much fun messing with blind Yeon was was really fun to watch and it was simply nice to see him laughing and enjoying himself. I liked that despite the attitude he still fed Yeon, and helped him acclimate to being blind, and did the exorcism aka did his best to help him
+ Funniest moment: Yeon airplaning food into Rang's mouth when he refuses to eat and demands 'what are you going to do about' - LMAO
+ Yeon being very competent was excellent. Him vs the group of demons, both with and without his hearing. Him acting sacrificing and then using Moo-young's raised sword as a lightning rod to escape was smart.
+ Ack, poor little Lea. That was so horrible.
+ I liked us getting more of the consequences of Yeon's choosing of Ah-eum over being a mountain god. Yeon's scene with Lea was really nice.
+ I loved Hong-joo protecting her girls. The drinking contest and her murdering the leader even knowing it would get her in trouble with Taluipa were great.
+ Rang sacrificing himself in the water to push Shin-joo out so as not to let both of them die was both unbelievable - for Yeon sure, eventually but for Shin-joo who he doesn't much know, eh not so much, not his life, not yet anyway - but also aww Rang. He tries to hide his kind heart but its always there.
+ I also liked the reveal that Taliupa and Hyunuiong raised them. It adds another layer to Yeon's relationship with them.
+ Even awash in confusion and fear over his new blindness there is no way I buy Yeon not realising swords were drawn and clashed on that bridge. Especially since we see just how great his hearing is later in the episode.
