iaria+ Oh Rong Hao. I know he was grieving and desperate but listening to a giant swirling ball of obvious evil is very clearly a terrible idea! He even states himself all the reasons why he shouldn't do it, with the fact that Chidi Nuzi had a close relationship with Xi Yun at the forefront (in my mind). By the time he realised that Tai Sui had Chidi Nuzi primordial spirit as hostage he'd already gone so far (massacring the Xilan clan).
I do like that he had that moment of 'okay I think this is going too far' and that he only decided to continue with Tai Sui's plan because of the now higher stakes of her primordial spirit itself being at risk (because of his actions). And I generally enjoy 'doing anything for love (even evil)' stories.
But after 30, 000 years of so much evil, of sacrificing so many many lives and others' primordial spirits*, I really don't think there is any way back for him. I like him. I like his friendship with Changfeng. I feel for him. I enjoy watching him. But also dude! It is just so much! At this point he has committed the most evil (other then the swirling ball of Evil) and I'm just sad about his life choices.
*Also I didn't really forget about him feeding people to the Cauldron to make evil spirits but also I did forget that it destroyed those people's primordial spirits to do so and his killing those 3000 soldiers in addition to realising he's been doing this for 30, 000 years (! somehow completely under the radar!) is A LOT.
+ Qingcang silently seething his way through every interaction with Xiao Run - LOL. Xiao Run's complete obliviousness to Qingcang's lack of enthusiasm, heh. Them becoming sworn brothers, even doing a ritual (?!), haha. Can them swearing to share blessings and difficulties together be binding? But also I need Xiao Run to grow on Qingcang like fungus, please. I don't see it happening but I really want it.
+ I feel sorry for Wanqing mainly for her reveal that she felt an immediate connection to Lanhua (something that's never happened before) and trusted her, and yet Lanhua clearly didn't feel that connection back and was trying to manipulate her (even if 'for her own good'). We know they knew each other in their past life and were close so I really wish that we'd gotten to see that with Lanhua getting distracted from her mission to actually bond with Wanqing even if she didn't understand why.
+ Shangque getting all offended and jealous over Jieli thinking Qushui's stupidity is amusing because how can anyone be stupider then Shangque himself - LOL.
+ Jieli's idea that Lanhua and Qingcang were really siblings and it was all a test was honestly a clever idea to keep Xiao Run in town. She just went a little too far in stating the test was for him to marry Lanhua.
+ Qingcang's jealousy over Xiao Run/Lanhua was amusing especially him taking over uglifying Lanhua and I enjoyed it leading to him impulsively claiming her as his pregnant wife in front of Xiao Run. His petty little smirk at Xiao Run's shock was amusing too.
+ I find this stubborn insistence that only Xiao Run could be Xie Wanqing's fated beloved really frustrating! Lanhua really pulled it out of nowhere and despite literally nothing fitting - the two have no interest in each other and all the interest in someone else, Qingcang fulfilling the first part of the poem - they just keep moving ahead with trying to force it. Why even come up with the idea of swapping brides/grooms in a double wedding instead of just have Qingcang be the husband and kill her!? They touch upon their confusion at the idea of Xiao Run killing Wanqing on their wedding night but then move on so I'm curious about how they plan to engineer that happening too. I feel like I must have missed something that stated they were 100% meant to be and I need to just accept that so I can enjoy this plotline.
+ My favourite little moment was Qingcang's genuine(!)and easy(!) smile when Lanhua asked him to help make her pretty again.
+ Qingcang throwing a wrench in the plan because he refuses to pretend feelings he doesn't have makes me awww. That's rather sweet.
