As with the first season of the series I basically marathoned through this season. I liked it overall.

I liked Arman/Defne and thought the show did a good job with their relationship.

Defne was really positioned as possibly being in the know about what was happening but I never really bought it simply because if she had she would have come up with a reason for her fiance to go down with them rather than leave him to die.

The shot of Cem standing in the water as the sun rises was really beautiful.

I loved the plane from the first series flying overhead and getting to see the submarine group reacting to them. I wonder how different things could have been if Erenay had survived and they'd tried to contact them.

I wish the series had done better with the various soldiers. Most of them blurred together as this homogeneous group.

This series is once again proving that the worst thing in the apocalypse are men with guns.

It seems like possibly a lot of people knew about the solar flare coming years in advance which makes me think there could potentially be a lot of little enclaves of surviving humans.

I enjoyed Hatice kicking Altan's ass.

I was annoyed by a lot of things in the mine episode. As soon as they got in the mine it seemed deeply sketchy. Why didn't the miners simply go into the other room and move the cage back down? Are we really supposed to believe that Arman and Defne ran all that way chased by the miners??

I felt so bad for that poor French man left hanging in the mine to slowly die from his wounds. Hopefully all the miners are dead so at least they won't keep eating him alive.

The show managed to make me care for Umut a bit so I have to give it a lot of points for that. A bit! His relationship with Yonca and their scenes after her father's death did a lot to humanise him. I think he made some good points on occasion. I enjoyed that short period of him and Arman tentatively working together well. Of course he was way to easy with violence as a solution, was too aggressive, too combative and was a terrible choice for Commander so I was glad when he was removed, and yet also glad he survived.

Purposefully taking out other survivors planes/bunkers in order to prevent them from getting to the seed/food was just wtf are doing man? It's the end of the world and possibly humanity!

It's too bad Umut was deposed before they got to the Seed Bank because if it had been him instead of Arman who Ayaz shot it would have felt very fitting since Umut's decision to blow up their airfield was ultimately the final reason for Zara and Dominic's death.

The men dying in the vault was so preventable and frustrating. Like, my dudes, who the fuck cares about money/gold? Where were you planning to use that with basically everyone on the planet dead? Some people are so dumb.
