Episode 7

+ I can't believe they caught him already. Caught him red handed with her literal corpse at that. We're only half way through the season!

+ I don't understand Jin-mook's move of revealing Jae-yi's mother's hairclip and telling Jae-yi where to find her body. Yes, the cops' decision to comb every section of that area of the river would have eventually revealed the grave (graves?) but would that have for sure revealed Jin-mook as the killer? Yes, he suspected Jae-yi but then why not simply kill her? He bascially gave her evidence and a confession! He was too busy digging up Min-jeong to be planning to kill her in the field, and anyway he had to know she'd immediaely call Dong-sik or any of the many cops she knows. I really don't get the motive on his part.

+ I'm a little surprised that in 10 years no one has found the literal headstone in the fields.

+ I love that Jae-yi found the phone and because of her faith in Dong-sik immediately realised why he had it and thus figured out who the killer really was. I love that her first act was to use it to send a message while Dong-sik was with everyone to make sure his name remained clear. I love that she refused to let him protect her by shutting her out, and her determination to help him finally catch her mother's killer. It was a really good scene.

+ Honestly this case is going to be such a mess. Even without anyone else knowing Dong-sik's part with the fingertips, the game he was playing with Min-jeong's phone is sus. They're sure to ask where he got the phone from.

Episode 8

+ Fucking hell Jin-mook's cruelty is even greater than I thought. That he buried them alive, wrapped in a bag to suffogate to death :(

+ Poor Dong-sik. If he had looked more, if he'd followed his first instinct and called in the police, could Min-jeong have been found alive? I really don't think so because it looked like she died while he was still there. But that question is always going to haunt him now. The possibility that he might have been able to save her. The fact that she was dying right under his feet and he didn't know. Ouch. Also the unintentional stab by Jae-yi when she questioned what did any of them do wrong that night? Some much ouch.

+ It was nice to see Dong-sik and Joo-won working together this episode. Despite Joo-won reiterating again that he isn't interested in caring about other people or connecting with them he certainly seems to be coming to care for Dong-sik. His impassioned desire to find Yu-yeon's body certainly isn't about arresting Dong-sik.

+ Dong-sik antagonising Jin-mook into attacking him and then grinning is exacctly why everyone thinks he's crazy!

+ It seemed obvious to me that if Jin-mook returned those of his victims he could to their homes that what needed to happen was to dig up Dong-sik's home. So Joo-won walking in to find holes all over the lawn and Dong-sik sitting defeated was a great little moment.

+ Ji-hwa calling Jeong-je simply to tell him that he did a good job and saved Jae-yi was lovely. He only just finished telling his mom that Dong-sik was his only friend but I think he's wrong.

+ With half a season still left to go obviously Jin-mook was telling the truth about Yu-yeon which leaves who really killed her and why? The obvious suspects are a) our powerful trio of older antagonists were caught by her doing something illegal and killed to cover it up, or 2) Jeong-je killed Yu-yeon, maybe accidentally, and his powerful mom and her powerful friends covered it up.
