Beyond Evil Episode 9
Jun. 8th, 2024 01:49 pm+ I was honestly really surprised by Joo-won going hard against Dong-sik and committing more firmly to taking him down. I really thought the latter half of the show would involve Dong-sik and Joo-won finally being on the same side.
+ Even more surprising was Joo-won taking a leaf from Dong-sik's playbook and framing Chief Nam for Jin-mook. What even! I have no idea what he's trying to accomplish with that tbh.
+ I really liked the scene between Dong-sik, Jeong-ji and Ji-hwa. It was a lovely highlight of the friendship between the three.
+ Joo-won accusing Dong-sik of killing Min-jeong was harsh. Not necessarily wrong mind you, though we'll never know if he could have saved her by following the law, but still harsh.
+ Yu-yeon being in the walls the entire time is not unexpected after Jae-yi's mom but it was so sad when Dong-sik found her. He spent so long conducting his investigation in the exact same place her body was.
+ I liked that the episode started with a return of the gambling ladies and Dong-sik losing it. It was a nice call-back.
