Episode 13

+ Loved Dong-sik showing concern for Joo-won.

+ I love Dong-sik immediately using the bribry position Ki-hwan gave him to turn around and fuck things up for him. Clearly Ki-hwan hasn't been paying attention if he didn't expect that.

+ Jung Cheol-mun purposefully setting up Sang-bae as the fall guy, specifically bringing up the need for one and picking him himself, was bad enough but his complete lack of any regret or guilt over it despite the unintended consequences of Sang-bae dying really pissed me off. How very dare he. It made me want Ki-hwan to wipe the smugness off his face.

+ I honestly really care about Jeong-je. He did wrong. He drove drunk. He called his mother for help and let her cover up his crime instead of calling the police. He didn't immediately tell his best friend the truth and instead acted as an alibi and as a consequences Dong-sik spent two decades in agony making his entire life about solving Yu-yeon's disappearance, while Jeong-je found himself drugged and so far in denial and emotion repression he made himself actually forget. All of this is terrible. And yet I really hope he gets a happy ending. I appreciat his attempts to make it right. I'm glad that he's promised to finally take responsibilty for his actions. He's also been tormented for the last 20 years, I'm ready for him to move on, to deal with his emotions, and to maybe finally find some peace. Also it's clear that Dong-sik does still care so if this friendship could survive, for both their sakes, that would be amazing.

Episode 14

+ Wow Dong-sik showed so much trust in Joo-won in going along with his plan, a plan that would keep him out of the immediate loop. There's no real reason why Dong-sik needed to be driving with Ji-hwa rather then with Joo-won after all. I absolutely love how much things have changed between them, and watching them work together.

+ I always find it very fun when Joo-won goes off script and does something impulsive and crazy and getting to see Dong-sik's reaction to it. His affront when Joo-won confessed his wrong-doing instead of playing mum for example. I loved his expression when Joo-won threw it back in his face that since he didn't keep his promise Joo-won doesn't have to either.

+ It's an interesting addition that Chang-jin knew about Ki-hwan killing Yu-yeon, and was there that night. I think it would have made complete sense and worked just as well if he'd gotten the information from Jin-mook so I'm curious about why this twist. What important addition does this make to the story? Where did he go between Ki-hwan hitting her and Jeong-je hitting her? And why did he leave at all before cleaning up the scene? Did he leave her there to set up a fall guy for her death? Counting on someone else driving that road and hitting her? Except then it was Jeong-je and Hae-won called him in to cover it up? Man, the sequence of events that night was wild.

+ Sang-bae going alone to the junk yard was indeed as dumb as I thought it was.

+ I am so curious about what messed up secret there still is between Hae-won and Chang-jin. So far it's all revolved around her son and political career. Was she drugging Jeong-je before his hospitalisation?
