Beyond Evil Episode 15
Jun. 13th, 2024 11:40 pm+ Dong-sik trying to reassure himself that Joo-won can't be hurt any more by this situation nor will he ruin himself like Dong-sik did, and how he can't make himself believe it, and how obviously that upset and disturbed him was great. I also loved him deciding to follow after Joo-won at the end.
+ I love how well Dong-sik and Joo-won work together. They were so insync this episode and it was delightful to watch.
+ Honestly I actually feel a little bad for Chang-jin. Everyone simply uses him to do their dirty work, expecting him to just do as they say, and without much respect for him. He's tried to move past his thug stage but that's all he's seen as. To be fair, he keeps acting as a thug, and doing their dirty work, so.
+ I'm not sure how I feel about Do Hae-won's sudden change. I absolutely bought her over-involved and over-protective act with Jeong-je and this switch and reveal isn't entirely working for me.
+ Dong-sik still caring about Yeong-ye makes me sadly happy.
+ So obviously everything was set up to frame Dongsik for murder and I love that Yoo-won was like nope I'm taking this instead. He was very slick about it too! Less impressed with him not taking Ji-hwa and Doo-soo in with him, they were right there!, and circumventing the whole plot. Though I suppose that could be part of his plan - himself being a suspect for murder won't reflect well on his father.
+ Is Jung Cheol-mun in on this set-up? I'm thinking no. He's a smug blackmailer and I can't see them letting a loose end like him live. Plus a body is needed to easily convict.
