I liked it.
Some enjoyable tornado visuals and destruction.
Kate getting the big 'save the day' moment while atoning for her failure in the past was great. I really liked Javi and Tyler running to her afterwards (and the rest of the tornado wranglers.) I liked that Ben's story became about her.
Kate/Tyler were cute enough. I liked how smitten he was basically from the start and the pining looks were great.
I was very happy with Kate, Javi and Tyler starting a new partnership together.
I liked the scene in the pool with the woman saying 'I've got you' while Tyler held Kate and how that overlapped with the moment in the underpass.
 I liked Kate's down-to-earth mom.
I appreciate that Javi redeemed himself. Him compromising his ethics by working with Marshall so that he could continue his research is sadly a very normal thing and I can see how he got there. I liked him showing up to help save Tyler and then help the team in protecting people.
I'm annoyed at the movie juxtaposition Storm Par (corrupt science people helping businessmen make a profit from misery) vs the Tornado Wranglers (fun cowboys who are generous and help those affected). The movie went too hard against Storm Par imo. The work they were doing was good work. They were trying to help with their data collecting. Just because it didn't have an immediate impact of helping people immediately before/after the tornado doesn't mean there wouldn't be an impact.
It would have worked better if it were Javi that Tyler caught and saved in the theatre instead of Lily. Javi who was an antagonist to him. Javi who saved him just before. Javi who was one of only two survivors of his previous storm chaser team but whose life hadn't be in danger then. Thematically it just would have worked so much better. Tyler returning the life saving, Javi surviving almost death via tornado.
There were a couple times where people got out of their vehicles very close to a tornado both before and after it passed by/over them and they stand there and look and it just felt very fake.
Javi leaving Scott made me have a 'wait what' moment because um, did he just abandon him in the path of a tornado???
