Episode 15

It was a good end. I really appreciate how everything was wrapped up.

+ I loved Li Shiqing running this last loop like a boss. She has the information, she knows what works and what doesn't and then she just gets it done. Calls Zhang, gets Jiao's help, ties up her hair, enlists Lu Di. I like that this time everyone was involved in stopping her. I loved Lu Di cradling the bomb to try and protect it. Even medicine lady got involved. It was great.

+ I liked less that they had Xiao Heyun pop up to save the day. Well no that was fine in itself. I'm glad that he had a part. But him doing it while Li Shiqing is just standing there staring didn't work for me. He had to go past her to stop Tao Yinghong which means that Li Shiqing had time to do it herself. It reeked of 'oh we need the male lead to show up to save the day' and it ended up at the expense of the female lead. Have her hurt, or at least flung to the ground, you know? I do like that she was immediately back in there.

+ My biggest issue with the episode is that Li Shiqing had all the important information and access to proof - and then she didn't use it till the last possible moment. She knows they are on a timer! I don't understand why she and Xiao Heyun spent so much time begging Wang Xingde to pull over when they knew that wouldn't work! They said nothing while he played bumper cars with the police. They said nothing until Wang Xingde went after, and got, the bomb! WTF??? Why wouldn't they have led with that? 'Stop the bus and I'll give you the proof of what happened to Mengmeng' or whatever. I know they wanted a dramatic finally confrontation but come on.

Honestly if Xiao Heyun wasn't apparently dying I'd have said use a loop and just see what happens if you sit with Tao Yinghong, show her the picture and run down how they could clear Mengmeng's name, just to see what would happen.

+ I loved Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun holding hands as they fell asleep in the back of the police car.

+ I loved Li Shiqing taking a moment with Xiao Heyun, just resting her head against him and getting strength from him, before putting things into motion.

+ I loved Jiang Feng running with Zhang Cheng to throw the bomb and then covering Zhang's body with his own. It almost felt like a part of him remembered the time Zhang died instead and he was determined not to let it happen again.

+ Li Shiqing's much quicker and better crafted way to get Lu Di on her side - "you're the chosen one" - was brilliant.

+ Zhang being all 'I have so many questions... but you did good so call when you get your stories straight' was honestly kind of hilarious. There are so many legitimate questions! How to basically everything they did for starters. And yet they solved a crime and stopped another so... good job?

+ I loved everyone on the bus being honoured and that all their families were there! It was such a lovely feel good scene.

+ Ma Guoqiang getting greeted by his son with so much joy, and a clinging hug, and then getting to happily share his watermelons with him and his son's colleagues was delightful. I am so happy for him.

+ Ju Di's parents throwing him a fandom themed birthday party, including dressing up themselves, and then getting him a hairless cat as a present was wonderful. But at the same time I can't help but wonder - how? I suppose the bus situation and then him getting honoured was enough to shake their over-protectiveness and see him as an adult? I am really happy for them all.

+ I am sad that Ju Di didn't get to keep the start to a friendship with Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun. He was so happy and proud to have actual friends and to be included in something important.

+ I had wondered what role Liu Yao played on the bus. I though everything done with her was done well. Her freaking out and running off the bus when the man realised that she might have taken a picture and approached her was absolutely understandable and the right thing to do. I felt so bad for her when she called her mom for reassurance and help, and instead got her mom telling her to not get involved and then blaming her for dressing the ways she does. She hadn't even been the one getting harassed! Her getting scared at the comments to her post and keeping the truth secret was also understandable even if it wasn't the right thing to do.

+ The real problem here is that neither Wang Mengmeng nor Liu Yao felt comfortable or safe or able to call that creep out. To yell out for him to stop, to call pervert, to cause a disturbance. To believe that the people around them would take their side, would protect them from him, would stop him.

+ I'm glad that he was found. That he got arrested at his work in front of everyone. That he ended up in jail.

+ The police were absolutely suspicious with the traffic on the way to the bridge. Nothing in sight except for one on each side and one behind. Nothing seeing ahead?
