12 Monkeys 3x02 Thoughts

+ Cole/Jennifer were absolutely lovely. Jennifer was absolutely right to call out Cole on immediately jumping into work and expecting her to help without truly acknowledging the five years she'd been stuck and even worse not showing any sympathy for her or happiness at finding her. It was all business immediately. I was angry on her behalf! It was unfair and I felt really sad for her that that was her reunion.
But then Cole turned it around. I loved that he took the chance of being dropped back to the day they arrived in 1922 to redo his reunion with Jennifer. Him clapping for her show, him telling her he was here to bring her home and then actually apologising for how long it took him. "We need you. I need you." ♥ Him later declaring "you're part of the team" and their hug made me awwwww. "By the way you were never forgotten." I love them.
+ I'm very happy that Cole had the realisation (if belated) that he should have told Cassie the truth during their alternate timeline and given her the chance to make her own choice. I like that he regretted it enough that he's made the conscious choice to give people a voice in their own future instead of making it for them.
+ Sigh. Ramse finding Sam only for him to a) be an adult, and b) dying from recent 12 Monkeys caused injuries, and c) having only minutes of talk before Sam begs Ramse to mercy kill him and Ramse doing so was - it bothered me. It felt cheap. It was basically Sam being used as plot motivator then as a character. Because of course I know where this is going - Ramse is going to lose his shit even more and probably betray Cole again in his quest to get revenge. And since the Witness is Cole's son the two are once again going to be odds. And I'm just annoyed that they didn't even try and mask this goal, just immediately get rid of Sam in the most Ramse traumatic way possible and done.
+ Adler's "dear god she's back" re: Jennifer LOL.
+ It was nice to see Katarina off on a mission. Not sure why she went on it rather then say Hannah or just let Cole go by himself though.
+ I liked Katarina deferring the decision on what to do with Jennifer over to Cole. With talk of Cole becoming a leader last season I like seeing steps in that.
+ Mattias is rather interesting isn't he. Not sure what I think. Is he a follower who no longer believes? He seems sympathetic towards Cassie.
+ Magdalena's firey death looked like it bothered even past!Magdalena this time.
