Count me as super intrigued by "the machine doesn't like it" and "it hurts her". Yes please tell me more.

Despite everything, and I'm sure all the shit that's going to be going down this season between them, I do love Cole/Ramse. I loved their silent hug when they reunited. I also believe absolutely Ramse's "I want you to know that you are my family."

SIGH. For fucks sake Ramse. I can't. And I knew. I knew as soon as Sam died that he was simply a catalyst to get Ramse to work against Cole. Ramse learning that Cole's son is the Witness. Ramse deciding the answer is to kill the woman Cole loves to prevent him from being born. Not to save the world but to punish via death The Witness for the death of his son. And at no point does he apparently think of telling Cole about his son.

Katarina losing her shit on Olivia and torturing her with the machine was not really out of character. Even with Hannah back in her life Katarina's end goal is to unmake the future and that, along with everything she had to do and endure in order to get the machine even working, has left her with a harsh streak of hardness and even viciousness. Nothing matters if it never happened. Still this was a lot.

I appreciated Hannah trying to draw Katarina back. Her story of how she grew up hearing stories of Doctor Grim and that was what scared her really got to Katarina. Hannah following it up with support and knowing that her mother is better than that. It was a nice scene between them.

My friend's friend..." I just liked Katarina calling Cole her friend, aw.

Unexpected but pleased that Deacon survived Titan. I was sure we'd see him again but I figured it would be when there was another timeline shift.

Mallick secretly saving Deacon and then holding him prisoner to use him to eventually help Cassie escape Titan was a lot of forethought and planning on his part. I am definitely intrigued in what his role is in all this. Where does his true loyalty lie?

I loved Jennifer giving Ramse her genuine sympathy for Sam's death along with a couple of his toys. It really showcased her kindness. It was a nice scene. Ramse wasn't wrong in pointing out how messed up it is that hers was the only one he got.

Cole got two bits of advice this episode that he kind of ignored and it turns out he really shouldn't have. Katarina tells him straight out at the beginning that "we need to know which Ramse" Ramse is right now, and while Cole stayed away for awhile in the end he did go to Ramse and he once again let him in, trusted him and listened to him. Second, and more importantly in my mind, Jennifer grabs him before they are going to splinter to tell him that "this is all wrong" and that he shouldn't go. And yet as he so often does he chose to ignore what she had to say.

I appreciate Hannah stopping the splinter torture but holding her dagger to poor Dr Lasky's throat was a bit much.

It's hard to tell with Olivia. She could very well have been acting and had no genuine anger over it but her yelling at Cole that he "left me to them" wasn't fair. That's not actually a choice he got to make, he wanted to get her.
