iaria+ Aww Gil-geum's terrified wailing for Ji-young was so sad. I loved her disbelief that none of the others were willing to act and calling them out on it before deciding to go herself. I loved Man-so stopping her and deciding to go himself and then how that lead to everyone else deciding they'd also go in a cascade of bravery.
+ Heon practicing how he'd greet Ji-young was really sweet.
+ I'm glad to see Ji-young starting to take an active role in trying to prevent the terrible future she knows is coming for Heon.
+ I don't know why Heon didn't go with his other plan of having his soldiers break the cage and free Ji-young regardless of his step-mother having the keys. He's the king!
+ I like that Inju knows it wasn't Heon who poisoned Jinmyeong because Heon isn't sneaky and plots or poisons when he wants to kill someone he just throws out a lie as an excuse and then murders them. Kind of horrifying but also lol. Also loved her little nod when Ji-young stated that if Heon wanted them dead they'd be dead already.
+ Thinking of the future I kind of hope this doesn't end in Heon being reincarnated in the future to have a second chance with Ji-young but rather the events of the past playing out as they did in history but before his death the Mangunrok transports Heon into the future. That would be a really fun twist.
+ Aww Heon not wanting to wake Ji-young sleeping on his arm.
+ I loved the Chu-wol/Gong-gil fight. Except for the fact that she stopped right when she had him in order to gloat and spill the truth. NO! Based on what we've seen I don't buy it. Even if she thought he was dead I don't buy that she'd put Mok-ju in even in a hint of danger. We didn't even need her gloating because the poor doctor spilled the truth about Mok-ju literally seconds later. The fight shouldn't have stopped for exposition at all. Just let the fight go on without stopping.
+ Okay I kind of love Mok-ju's head court lady Chu-wol now? She's a terrible person but her unwavering to death loyalty to Mok-ju is something I am so here for. The fight scene was so unexpected but she kicked ass and held up against and almost beat Gong-gil which is impressive.
+ After what happened with the cooking competition 'mix up' I'm honestly a little surprised that Heon isn't even a little suspicious of his uncle now that we have a second 'mistake'.
+ 'bring forth your evidence' um, does Heon really need evidence? Mok-ju isn't part of an influential family. She's just his consort. I feel like he could just get rid of her with even the flimsiest of excuse or hell, no excuse at all? Honestly even if he doesn't have proof it was her since she is his consort and he clearly no longer trusts her or wants to be with her, he can still just make her no longer his consort and send her away from the palace, no?
+ I liked that her cooking convinced him that she was from the future and all this time he did believe her and just hid it.
+ Aww to Heon proposing to Ji-young with a ring and asking her to be his companion and offering to make her breakfast every morning (aww, sweet and appropriate, and also not something I could buy happening at all in this time lol).
+ This is now several times Ji-young has been put in peril and I wonder if this won't all end in him helping her escape back to the future because he loves her too much, and knowing it now, will be willing to put aside his own feelings for her safety. Right now he wants to keep her with him but if things go wrong? Eh.
+ I can buy Ji-young's feelings for Heon have changed and that she cares for him, even loves him fine. But I would not buy her choosing to stay in the past. She has friends in the kitchen staff and a job she loves but I'm sure she has friends in the future and her father and a job she loves and also it has modern amenities and more importantly her life isn't put in danger every week! I don't think anything Heon can offer can off set the danger the comes with accepting.
