Jane By Design

1x10 'The End of the Line'

- This episode had two moments that really encapsulated why I love Billy/Jane:

1) Billy walking into Jane's arms after he was let out of the jail cell. Just how he did it, as if it was the most natural thing in the world, and the expression on his face... it was perfect.

2) After Billy sent Jane to work his expression not revealing that he was actually upset. Instead, while still nervous about court, he seemed... pleased and affectionate. He wasn't doing what he thought he should (sending Jane to work) but secretly didn't want - he was honestly happy encouraging Jane to put her dream first.

Sincere and selfless love, yes please! I love that and Billy is all about selflessly supporting and loving Jane.

- On the other hand however the show needs to do some serious work with regards to Jane and her relationship with Billy from her side. At this point Billy is giving everything, being completely supportive and helpful and Jane is just not returning it to the same degree. And unfortunately that was never more evident than in this episode.

Billy sent Jane to her dream job so she wouldn't lose it and was sincere in his desire for her to go despite really needing her right then. He was being a great friend. Then you have Jane's part in that conversation where she was kind of... passive in her support? That is she said the right things but she said it in a tone that said "please let me go to work" and he didn't have to work very hard to get her to go. Her "nos" were really lacklustre. The good friend thing to do would have been to go with him to court. That's not to say she's a bad friend, I don't think she is, but damn do I want her to put Billy first for once like he does for her.
