Castle 5x04 Review
Murder, He Wrote
Delightful! I loved it. This was Castle at it’s best. It was fun and hilarious. The characters and relationships were great, I liked the guest actors and the case was good. This season has been great so far and this was the best episode yet.
• Castle/Beckett as a couple are charming and amusing and fun and sweet. I love them. This is so much better than last season.
• Beckett’s expressions throughout the episode were A+. Half my laughs were at her reactions.
• Beckett and Castle cock-blocking each other at different times because neither can let go of a mystery was great.
• “None of them were you” – Castle. This could have been really cheesy but instead it worked. It was a really nice moment. I love the lack of real angst. I love that Beckett wasn't the first woman he'd brought to the house because then that would have been too cheesy.
• I loved how pleased Beckett was with herself for ‘forgetting her suit’. It was adorable.
• "Call 911" / "D'ya think?" LOL. I especially loved this because people are always telling others to call 911 for very obvious reasons and no one ever goes 'well, duh' to them.
• Esposito and Ryan deciding to figure out who Beckett's dating was fun. I loved their interrogation of Lanie.

"Actually no." – Ryan.
• The only thing in the episode that I didn’t like was that Ryan didn’t tell Esposito the truth about Beckett and Castle. I don't understand why he wouldn't and I am really hoping this isn't leading to Ryan/Esposito angst. Again.
• Beckett’s reaction when the boys said they weren’t afraid of her and Castle snatching the phone out of her reach - lol.
• The guys extorting Ferrari usage out of Castle for their help on the case - heh.
• "We’re Rickate. Katick. ...Castkett. Ooo. That’s good because of the whole murder thing." - Castle Heh. I loved their smiles. Caskett's my favourite too.
• Ryan’s interrogation of Learner over Castle’s girlfriend was hilarious. “Hey, hey! I’ll the questions here, pal!” LOL. Ryan’s expression when he got confirmation that Beckett is dating Castle was priceless.
• Ryan messing with Castle (and Beckett) over the phone was awesome.
• I loved Castle’s house in the Hamptons. It was gorgeous.
• I really liked Chief Brady. I hope he returns.
• "Sorry about that whole accusing you of murder. Still buddies?" - Castle Heee.
