Once Upon a Time 3x05 Thoughts
Good Form
• Loved, loved, loved the Snow/Emma/Regina scene with the lost boy. Regina falling back on her own abilities, taking his heart, and Snow's immediate rejection of it were believable. Then we get Emma's reaction which was perfect: "I think we need to talk to our son." I love that bit of moral ambiguity. I loved Emma holding Snow in her arms, how she rested her head on Snow's shoulder and whispered "I'm sorry". I loved their tears and Regina's gleeful smile. That whole scene was excellent.
• I loved the shot when the women got back to camp and then heard a noise - with Emma holding her sword at ready, Regina just behind her with a fireball in hand and behind them Snow with her bow strung and ready to fire.
• The Emma/Hook kiss was great. I love that she was in control of it from start to finish.
• I'm loving Regina's reactions every time Emma mentions Neal or her childhood. It just immediately stops Regina in her tracks and for the first time, I believe, we're seeing actually empathy (and perhaps some guilt?). Regina even apologised once!
• Charming not telling anyone about his wound is stupid but I loved his goodbyes especially him hugging Emma.
• Emma called Henry "our son" to Regina twice this episode which was great.
• "As you wish." - Hook. The Princesses Bride makes that phase synonymous with "I love you" for me.
• I liked that Killian didn't turn to piracy just as revenge for his brother but out of actual ethics and because he found his king's actions unacceptable.
