Haven 5x03 & 5x04 Thoughts

5x03 'Spotlight': Really boring. I'm still annoyed by the continued lack of any sort of acknowledgement of Duke's feelings for Audrey. If I had started watching this season I would have no idea that Duke/Audrey had a very close relationship. Okay, he thinks she's truly gone but he never once considered that Audrey could be there or tried to save her. Nathan/Audrey are still horrible with even more added creepiness. Mara was actually kind of right when she pointed out that his life is all about Audrey and that is just really sad. Nathan/Duke continues to be the only part of this triad that's working. I liked Nathan going after the journal to save Duke.

5x04 'Much Ado About Mara':

This episode was better.

+ The OT3 is back!! For the first time this season, in fact.

- Duke is finally back to showing that he actually cares about Audrey. THANK GOD. It's about freaking time.

- "Three things Audrey loves. Me. [to Duke] You. Helping people with troubles." Nathan actually stating right out that he knows that Audrey loves Duke!! I don't think he's ever done that before. Acknowledged Duke's love for Audrey, sure, but not that Audrey has feelings for Duke. There was also this: "And then when she came out for you, I was fine with it." - so his first reaction was anger/jealousy but shortly after he found himself 'fine with it' that Audrey loves Duke too. Now what are the chances that this is going to stick?

+ Sadly even while my OT3 love has been resurrected Nathan and Nathan/Audrey is still bleh.

+ Nathan getting in Duke's face when Mara brought up Colorado - sigh.

+ Duke's gibberish trouble was hilarious. EB played it so well. I do wish that we could have gotten to hear what Duke wanted to say about Colorado when it first came up.

+ I loved Duke getting control of the situation between Dwight/the Guard and Nathan/himself and cooling down the tension enough that they could work together to figure out what was happening.

+ I liked Duke helping Jody to gain control of her Trouble. It feels like forever since someone did something like that.
