Haven and Agents of SHIELD Thoughts

Haven 4x07 'Nowhere Man'

It was okay.

• You know, they could do something a little less permanent than cutting a toe off to determine whether or not new!Audrey and Mara are connected or not. Like, smack her or cut her shallowly. Voila, answered. And then Mara does that at the end which just makes all three of them look like idiots.

"I'm not going to lose her and Nathan in the same day." - Duke.

• I loved Mara calling Nathan Duke's boyfriend.

• I loved Audrey's private smile at Nathan and Duke in the first scene.

• I was sad (and irritated) that we didn't get a real Audrey/Duke reunion but I did love all their interactions. I loved Audrey turning to him to deal with her Guard shadows and him immediately agreeing to. I loved Duke realising instantly that Audrey was using herself as bait. I loved Duke rescuing Audrey and how that scene played out. I loved Audrey using the Guard's Trouble to free herself, Duke letting Audrey decide what to do with her kidnappers, and then him threatening them if they ever come after his friends again.

• I found the lack of Audrey/Mara scenes a little weird. The Audrey of previous seasons would have been immediately confronting Mara, if not at first then certainly once she learned that Mara could see Nathan. It kind of ties in with how - hesitant Audrey seemed this episode. IDK. It was weird.

• Still not caring about Audrey/Nathan unfortunately. And I found him keeping the fact that she's no longer immune a secret from her for that long kind of gross and certainly wrong. His excuse of not wanting to scare her was really dumb.

• I find myself worried that the show might be going in a Duke/Mara route. Which, just no. No. I mean in a hate sex/reluctant allies kind of way it could maybe be hot but an actual relationship between them? A world of no.

Agents of SHIELD 2x06 'A Fractured House'

I liked it.

• The fact that Coulson has multiple agents even questioning whether he sent other agents to attack a UN meeting should probably be worrying him.

• Jemma/Skye were lovely. I loved their scene at the beginning. I loved Jemma stepping in front of Skye when Ward walked past. I hope they get more focus.

• Fitz/Mack continue to be so great. I love how Mack is with Fitz. "And you know, half the stuff he says is nonsense." I also enjoyed everything with Fitz/Simmons/Mack.

• I like the direction they've chosen to go in with FitzSimmons. It makes sense to me that post-brain injury things would be difficult between them because of how much they were in each others heads before. They're out of sync now and neither know how to fix it and it's frustrating and upsetting for them both. They end up hurting each other inadvertently which makes it clear that Simmons leaving actually was for the best and now they have to figure out their relationship all over again. I'm really enjoying them.

• Bobbi and May's shared Look after Lance's "deception is her forte" made me laugh.

• I loved May cutting Lance off when he started complaining about Bobbi.

• Bobbi taking out Toshiro was great. I also liked May's fight with the mercenary.

• I'm betting on Christian Ward being a bad guy.

• As always not enough Trip. I do love that we got a shot of him watching Ward leave. I wish we'd gotten at least one scene between them discussion Garrett.
