Killjoys 2x04 Thoughts

Schooled

I loved it.

+ Delle Seyah! It was so great to see her again and her and Dutch were a delight together. "I missed our hate flirting." - Dutch. Me too! Luckily it was all over this episode. I love them being forced together. The 'two lies and a truth' game was fun, I liked Dutch helping Delle Seyah through the station and that she actually seemed worried, I liked Dutch's "Don't you dare fantasy about this later" and that it made both of them smile. Then there's the kiss! Delle Seyah totally took the slimmest reason to kiss Dutch and I love Dutch confessing that 'she didn't hate the kiss'. I'm looking forward to them as allies.

+ Dutch/Johnny have been sort of backgrounded this season but they got a lovely moment this ep. I loved Johnny's "always" and the intensity and sincerity he put into it when Dutch told him that she needed his full focus.

+ I loved Pawter's expression when Dutch shot Delle Seyah. She was so shock-delighted about it. Like it was the best thing ever. I love the backstory of the two of them being rivals and the pranks they played on each other. I want to know more.

+ "I've seen this movie. If we get attacked by zombie kids I'm going to be so mad." - Johnny. LOL.

+ Dutch calling children "little people" and D'Avin reaction made me lol. I loved that afterwards he called the kids 'little people' when talking about/to them.

+ I love Johnny being great with the kids and him saving the day by talking down Olan using his own history as a younger brother was great.

+ I love that Pawter saved herself from her kidnapping using skills she learned as a doctor and Johnny being all impressed by it. She's been so great this season.

+ This was a great Johnny/D'Avin episode. They got a lot of really lovely moments. My favourite was Johnny tweeking D'Avin about how he 'stabbed him in the back' and this:

Jake: You stabbed your brother?
D'Avin: Just a little bit. And it was in the front not the back.
Johnny: Still counts!

+ I love that Dutch wasn't jealous for a second when D'Avin got all flirty with Sabine. That whole bit with D'Avin and Dutch at the beginning with him 'clearing the air' on the other hand rubbed me wrong.

+ Lucy's continuing jealousy of Pawter - this time in the form of telling Johnny that "she's probably dead" - continues to amuse me. Also her saying goodbye to the kids was cute.
