I don't often read spoilers anymore but I ended up accidentally reading a Fringe casting spoiler that made me pretty happy. Lincoln is going to be a regular next season! Yay! I’m so excited about that because I’ve kind of loved him since the season two finale and definitely fell hard this past season. I really want to see how his relationships with the two Olivias proceeds. I’m mostly hoping that everything we saw this season played out much the same just minus Peter and thus blue Olivia was part of the red team. I really want to finally get some blue Olivia/red Lincoln interactions. I was waiting for that during the latter part of the season and was disappointed when we never got it. I think I actually might ship them more than red Olivia/Lincoln.
In other Fringe news I noticed that Kirk A. the actor who plays Charlie has landed a pilot and I wonder if this means he’s going to be missing next season or killed off? I really hope not. I love Charlie, we’ve lost one of him already and he’s a necessary part of the Olivia/Lincoln/Charlie Trio.
Overall I was not very impressed with True Blood last season and I actually had no intention of watching season four. Then I watched the trailer for it (this one) and then a couple other ones and now I'm actually kind of excited about it.
What I liked:
- Sookie being kind of awesome. "Alcide stop making that noise”, "Oh, great now I have to deal with witches?" and punching Eric and telling him “It’ll heal in five minutes, you’re a vampire” LOL. I have so many hopes here. Please let her spend the whole season being snarky and unimpressed!
- Jessica, Pam and Tara looking awesome/badass.
- Sookie/Eric.
- Witches. Witches vs vampires! Fun. I am all for both those things.
- Lafayette joining team witch could be interesting. I'm just glad that he'll be a part of the main storyline.
I read Princess Academy by Shannon Hale and thought it was wonderful. I found myself wishing I could have read it back when I was a pre-teen. I liked the writing and the main character Miri. She was great – smart and curious and friendly but also flawed. I loved how female focused the book was, that the female relationships were so important, and that the women of Miri’s village worked in the mine along with the men instead of keeping home. I will definitely check out more of her books.

That finale was... kind of lacklustre wasn’t it? In fact it didn’t feel like a finale at all. I wasn't impressed.
- Considering how long they spent setting up the port-to-port killer the resolution was pretty quick and handled with little fuss.
- I did like that Cobb kidnapping Ziva ended up not being a major part of the episode because I wasn't actually worried about her fate. I just don't think there is a chance the show will kill her. Now EJ and Jimmy, on the other hand, I was a worried about. I like both of them so I'm glad that the writers didn't feel like they had to kill someone off.
- Tony going into yet another secret assignment was strange enough, after Jeanne I thought he never wanted to do anything like that again, but adding to the strangeness is the subtext that he’s being ordered to kill the spy (“dealt with appropriately”?). Why did he agree to it? Why was he even chosen?
- I don’t know why they didn’t show who was in the file since it seems pretty clear that it’s probably EJ. Possibly it's Ray but I’m leaning towards EJ considering the transmitter she removed from Levin’s wrist. Plus Ray’s text to ‘take care of Kort’ makes me think he’s part of the same black ops program as Cobb was. Actually for awhile this episode I was thinking that perhaps both EJ and Ray were parts of the black op. But whether it’s EJ or Ray it’s certainly going to cause problems.
