Desperate Times
+ I love that Eve immediately has an opinion on which Doctor Who companion she'd do - and that she chose Rose because she's adorable.
+ I loved Villanelle's complete breakdown, and how destroyed she was, just because Eve didn't answer her invitation to come investigate the interesting murder she set up just for her. A little surprised that she didn't kill Jess in her anger. Also I can't help but think of Hannibal's murder heart gift for Will.
+ "Do you like watching her, or do you like being watched?" - Hugo
"Both." - Eve
I loved Eve talking about her relationship with Villanelle with someone and being honest about it. That part was great.
+ Villanelle looked gorgeous in that pink ensemble. I can't blame that girl for asking to take her picture.
+ I loved Carolyn watching Eve look at herself in the two-way mirror. I'm very curious about what was going through her mind because it felt like there was something more going on. I've been enjoying Carolyn more this season and I'd love if there was more of a focus on their relationship.
+ So Villanelle was seeing a weakness, a softness, in herself because of the emotion she feels for Eve. Eve on the other hand is perhaps seeing the darkness?
+ I was on Nico's side this episode. What he said about her was really nice, even if I don't buy Eve as the kindest person he knows, but the fact that she responds to that by walking away, the fact that she went defensive rather than apologetic, that she didn't remember to tell him about the new security, that she almost kissed a random co-worker... it all adds up to this marriage being so done. Can they put an end to this relationship already? Also I haven't been the biggest fan of Nico but he's an okay guy who frankly deserves better than the shit Eve keeps giving him so hopefully he survives whatever break-up happens.
+ I actually really loved that little moment Eve has where she goes "she's a nurse, (slight pause, annoyed with herself) or a doctor" where you see her mentally kicking herself for falling into that old sexist mindset.
+ I liked how competent Eve was at her job this ep.
+ The almost Hugo/Eve kiss would have been such a disaster, yikes. What are you doing Eve? That said I actually liked them together this ep. I liked his open admiration of her when she figured out the Ghost and their talk about work, and having fun at the diner.
