Devil Is As Devil Does
Well, clearly Lucifer has bat wings because he murdered a human.
Holy crap, Dan, wtf??! How naive does he have to be to tell Jacob about Lucifer and think it won't lead to murder. I mean what the hell did he think Jacob was going to do? Attempt to sue Lucifer? I don't even know. Him protesting to himself that he didn't know Jacob was like that seems pretty self-blinded - Jacob is after all the one who has bailed his son out of every issue he's had (including human trafficking and probably murder). I suppose the show could be drawing a parallel between Dan and Lucifer and both of them going to far this season in vengeance?
Biggest question: how the heck did Dan call the police in to Lucifer's apartment and somehow still manage to keep the fact that he tipped off Jacob a secret? What excuse did he give Chloe?
It was nice to see Trixie again. I liked Trixie's exploration of Lucifer's apartment and interrogation of Eve.
It speaks very well of Eve that she happily went along with Trixie's interrogation and that when gunmen broke in she immediately stepped in front of her. It's made me reassess her. I've been suspicious about her reasons for tracking down Lucifer from the beginning but honestly now I think she really is being sincere and there isn't some darker end game here.
I wish Trixie was in this season more. Dan being overprotective of her and not wanting Lucifer around her could even have worked as a part of his motivation this episode if they'd set it up and it would have made his actions make slightly more sense.
Maze calling Linda's baby "our baby" made me aww and her over-protectiveness is sweet. But while the show clearly doesn't want to go there with them her and Linda laughing over the idea that she could be romantically interested in Linda rubbed me the wrong way.
I liked the Ella/Chloe talk but I'm sad over the fact that Chloe hadn't even noticed Ella's struggles with her faith. That she hadn't gone to Ella to make sure she was alright despite all the little times she's seemed off. Chloe's concerned look after Ella stormed off makes me really want Chloe to tell her the celestial truth.
Dan/Ella being a thing is - eh. I can see the logic there of two lost people, who share a similar grief and are friends, turning to each other for comfort but I'm not sold yet. Dan lost Charlotte less than two months ago and this seems like a bad idea.
I was surprised that Remiel didn't accuse Amenadiel of being corrupted by Lucifer. He seemed to accept her leaving so easily but if a half-angel baby is such a huge deal that seems very naive. This can't be the end of it and even if Remiel accepted her defeat that doesn't mean other angels will.
