16x06 'Whistlin' Past the Graveyard'
+ "I mean she's great with a scalpel but I can't picture her wielding a shiv. (pause) No, no, I can actually." - Jackson. Ha! I really liked that he asked how Meredith was doing.
+ I liked Koracick opening up about his son. It was a really honest and painful moment which made the show turning the scene into a joke by having Bailey react with crying and Koracick having to be there for her kind of annoying.
+ So Deluca. He's great. He was amazing with Meredith's kids. The scene where he sits down with Zola and reassures her that she won't forget her dad and then tells her a story about him was wonderful. So sweet. He's gone above and beyond for Meredith. He was willing to go to jail for her! He's supportive and giving and makes her happy, and he loves her. But I still don't know that I buy them as endgame or even want it, and Meredith clearly feels the same way. It's a weird place to be in. I like them! They're great together, he's great for her! But also I wouldn't mind if they broke up, even if I'd feel really bad for him.
+ I like the little bit of friendship we saw between Hahn and Schmidt.
16x07 'Papa Don't Preach'
+ Poor Maggie, and poor everyone. That was rough. I wasn't expecting Sabi to die.
+ Maggie wasn't wrong in pointing out that they've only known each other two hours but at the same time they are family and Richard was 100% right when he brought up what would happen if Sabi died. Her pushing to do the surgery as hard as she did was kind of obnoxious. I don't blame her for what happened but she shouldn't have been the person doing the surgery.
+ Why wouldn't they have transferred Sabi back to Grey Sloan, the better hospital with the better staff, instead of staying at the worse all around Pac North? Also that anesthesiologist needs to be fired, what the fuck?
+ I liked the Alex/Maggie scene a lot. I'm glad he was there for her.
+ Nice to hear that Meredith and Alex were having coffee together but would it kill the show to give us a scene between them? Meanwhile if Meredith was at the hospital and knew Richard's niece was in surgery why wouldn't she at least stopping at the waiting room to check in on him even if she didn't stay to sit with him?
+ Owen was so out of line with trying to withhold an abortion from his patient because of his issues with Amelia. Amelia was way to nice to him about that bullshit. That said I was actually rather surprised by how well the Owen/Amelia blow up went. He was an ass and making it all about himself, as per usual, but there was less yelling and he was less of a dick than I was expecting and I even kind of understood why he was hurt.
+ Meredith's outfit was so terrible. So, so terrible.
