iaria1x06 'The Most Sinful MF-er Alive'
+ I loved everything to do with Allegra/Spivey. They're family! And he's totally in love with her, yes? I loved their little moment outside the safe room with the gun and then him stepping in front of a bullet to protect her.
+ I do like Allegra's whole look and attitude.
+ Allegro/Singe sleeping together was unexpected. Pretty hot what we saw but I'm not sure where it's going.
1x07 'Butterscotch'
+ "It's just us now and I need you to win." Another great Allegra/Spivey scene.
+ Sid's line about Brattle perhaps hiring Gene to kill Spivey because he was incompetent because Brattle didn't actually want it done, because "people like him, especially the boss" was really interesting. I wonder if that's actually going to go anywhere interesting or not.
+ Harold's death surprised me though it probably shouldn't have. It was so abrupt. And yeah, he's a slimey dick but I kind of liked him? He didn't have many morals but he was really loving/kind to Cindy and he wasn't wrong about people hiring to do his spying and then looking down on him.
+ I felt for Lucretia. I loved her little butterscotch moment with Gene. It's been clear all along that she's very unstable but I don't know that I buy that she shot Harold. Did Cindy see her? I feel like it being Gene is far more likely.
+ Spivey and Raytek working together to try and clean up the town and get rid of the corruption is a nice little twist.
1x08 'Most Likely to Succeed'
+ Allegra/Spivey continue to be my favourite part. I loved that moment on the dance floor where he is so anxious over meeting Brattle and Allegra's trying to reassure him and then kisses him. Her holding his face in her hands, the way Jake leans back in for a second kiss and his little smile after was great. It was a really nice first kiss and I like that it wasn't about passion but comfort.
This was also excellent:
"I'll be in your ear." - Allegra
"Never left, darling." Jake
+ Spivey/Brattle was everything I could have hoped for. So that subtext was basically straight, so to speak, text, yeah? I love that Brattle's motivation basically comes down to a spurned (lover) wanting to completely destroy the one who hurt/left him. Him cupping Jake's face twice (!), calling him "a beautiful weapon", lamenting that none of his current men stack up to him and "all that's left is for you to come with me" was great. I love that Jake kept a phone that could contact Brattle all this time (it being in a block of ice makes it even better somehow), and "Ain't healthy me and Clyde" just makes me want to know more about it. I liked his nervous 'how do I look' before the meeting.
Also once again Sid giving his very interesting opinion: "I thought he had your mark on him not the other way around." ...I'm loving it.
+ I love that Raytek knew that Gene was a contract killer for months. I assume she and Felicity were working together to uncover him? I liked her getting out of him holding her hostage though she probably would have been able to actually capture him if she hadn't been over-confident.
+ I like that things between Allegra and Raytek aren't fine but they working together for all their good like adults.
+ Gene being Felicity's killer surprised me, even after learning that he worked for Brattle, but made sense. It seems like he was actually in love with Felicity to some degree but were they ever actually a couple or did she start a relationship with him as part of her investigation into him? I feel like the latter makes the most sense. Also he is 100% Harold's killer, right?
+ Needless to say I was not pleased with the bees nest bit at the beginning.
