+ This:

Isobel: Are you guys going to fight? Because I can make popcorn.
Liz: I love you, but you badly need your own business to mind.

was adorable but Liz so casually and affectionately telling Isobel that she loves her took me aback a little. It made me realise that, actually, I do in fact buy it. I wish they'd spent a little more time on their bonding while Max was dead and after Isobel's abortion, but yeah, okay. They genuinely love each other now. Awesome.

+ I am super annoyed at Maria being sent off to a 'retreat' with her mom all episode. It screams the show having no idea what to do with her. Which is rather infuriating because there are several places she could have easily slotted into this episode.

She could have teamed up with Michael to find Alex. Alex is one of her best friends and she and Michael are together (and there was that threesome). It would have integrated her better into the alien/military conspiracy side of the plot, showed her worry for Alex, and beefed up her relationship with Michael by having the working together. You could even throw in her trying to use her powers to find him.

Or she could have gone to visit Rosa - with or without Isobel. Maria/Rosa were best friends and the show has done nothing with that since her return, Maria and Isobel just learned they are family so why not explore it? All three have powers. There is a lot here they could have done with the three of them.

+ If Michael hadn't gone lone wolf in his search for Alex, which was completely unnecessary and he had plenty of time to call various people like the woman who can go into people's mind lets say, then he wouldn't be in this situation. Dumbass. It honestly does irritate me the way the characters keep being separated this season even if it makes no sense. You can say Alex makes him irrational but it still irritates me.

+ I liked the Liz/Max interrupted fight and I really hope they go back to it. They have to. Liz is using their dna which could lead to him and his family being discovered. Max covered up her sister's murder and then brought her back to life. These a pretty important issues and they should absolutely hash them out. [Isobel will bring the popcorn.]

+ I love that Isobel wanted to stop at Michael's first to check on him because she hadn't heard from him all day but at the same time this season has kept them so separate so much that it kind of ended up feeling a little contrived.

+ I like that Isobel is trying to be a better person and it connecting to Louise and her desire to be like her. To do better and not 'follow every selfish impulse' and, unstated but implied, to deserve the sacrifices made so she could live. And also perhaps her wanting to be the opposite of Noah.

+ Michael sharing Louise's photo and fate with Walt was a nice scene.

+ "Has anyone ever tell you that you smell like rain?" - Kyle to Max. LOL!

+ Diego is coming off so sketchy with his overt interest in Liz's research and his pushing to get her to work for his company. I don't think he's part of the military plot but I wonder if the show is setting up a new potential danger/enemy for next season with him.

+ Helena working with Flint is very random. I mean she was connected to Jim Valenti so you could draw a line to Jesse and her being a part of the alien hunting but they really should have done some set up/foreshadowing.

+ Helena's writing is very pretty.
