Great episode.

+ Wow, Gon is getting deeply ruthless and I love it. It's maybe a little worrying and definitely interesting that he's not even trying to hide it. I loved his scene with his prisoners. That was a great level of ruthlessness. Him choosing to publicly behead Gi-hwan did surprise me and I found myself wondering why he didn't just get rid of him privately instead of making it official? We then get the bookstore raid which I super loved. It was great. Again, Gon was really ruthless though this time he definitely went too far by having his guards just straight-up murder everyone in there. He didn't know who all was in there or if they'd actually committed any crimes so that was a little yikes. Then at the end he had cops and SWAT there, and instead of using them he decided to run through the crowd of minions on horseback with his royal guards, killing them personally with a sword. Gon, dude. Let's maybe chill out a tiny bit.

That said, that end was so OTT dramatic that it managed to be both completely ridiculous (seriously, why the horses? Where did they even come from?) and kind of amazing, and I loved it. I found it exciting and fun, and was able to ignore all the points that made no sense while watching it. I also really love that Gon isn't being the perfectly compassionate King who won't get his hands dirty or strike back at his enemy. And I mean, I can understand him having zero tolerance for treason with his past, and with Bu-yeong's recent murder. So it all ended up working for me.

+ It was interesting at the end to see Gon with his face covered in blood - just like Lim always ends up.

+ Still continuing to really enjoy Tae-eul/Gon overall. They weren't together a lot this episode but what we got was really lovely.

- It was a little thrilling to hear Gon tell his guards to protect Tae-eul because "she is the future queen". Still he's getting ahead of himself considering the first time he proposed she thought he was nuts and the second time she said "no for today", but fingers crossed! I find as the series goes on I'm getting more and more invested in them getting a happy ending.

- I loved Gon running to Tae-eul and pulling her into his arms.

- I loved the flashback that lengthened Tae-eul and Gon's episode 9 trip. I loved that when she pointed out that he demanded not asked, Gon proposed to her again, this time heart-felt and asking. I liked her 'no for today' and decision to live every day with him on a day-to-day basis and his accepting disgruntlement. I loved him joking about how they should do more than hold hands if they're living in the now and them bickering about it.

- I find it very interesting to have Tae-eul confirm in voice-over that Gon was from the future in the last scene of the previous episode, and that she knew it at the time. "Perhaps, that was the day I made up my mind about a lot of things." and then her wondering if Gon was dumping her and refusing it has left me hopeful about their future. I don't think I've written it down but I've actually been pretty sure we were in for a bittersweet future with the two of them in their own worlds at the end or Gon trapped in the in-between. But this scene gave me hope, and left me with the impression that Tae-eul has made a choice - and her choice is Gon. That she will accept his proposal and be his queen. I mean she was not accepting of the idea of Gon maybe dumping her, and it caused her 'to make up her mind', so what else could it be?

+ Tae-eul crying at the end worked for me and made complete sense. She was drugged and kidnapped to another world, she only escaped because a random child freed her, then she was chased (partially on foot) for hours, was almost run down and then thought she was going to die when overwhelmed by numbers only for Gon to came galloping out of the mist to rescue her like prince charming. That's a lot. She’s having a hard day!

+ I loved Tae-eul saving herself even while still dealing with the affects of the drug they used on her. I loved her protectiveness of yo-yo kid and then her taking down all her kidnappers. Loved her taking out the pursuing car with one shot. Loved her taking down the guy who almost hit her with the truck. She was so great.

+ I'm curious about why Gon thought in that specific moment that Tae-eul was in danger. Because he's known about Luna's existence and about Lim's people switching for months at this point and frankly he should have had this concern a long time ago. Why now? He seemed very sure that she was in danger right at that moment. Also why did he think she'd be in Corea instead of Korea?

+ Ok-nam remembering Bu-yeong and crying to herself and Gon finally breaking down while alone in the kitchen were both really moving scenes.

+ Gon figuring out that the pauses in time caused by travel between worlds are getting longer every time it happens is certainly ominous. Is this where the 'eternal monarch' comes in? I wonder if it does get so long the world essentially freezes for centuries and he goes back in time to stop it? But more importantly in the immediate future I would be very worried about leaving Lim alone in either world with things frozen for so long.

+ I loved the sense of Fate at Gon throwing the ring just as time stops. I wonder what importance it has.

+ It was interesting to see yo-yo kid/fate actively intervene by giving Tae-eul the means to escape. I also found it interesting that he used/gave Luna's knife to free Tae-eul. Luna told him: “Use it to protect what belongs to you.” Do Tae-eul/Luna belong to Fate, or are they pieces on the board he's using to protect the balance?

+ Fate is certainly dramatic. I love, and am very amused, by the music it chose to play over the bookstore raid. How appropriate. 'Wrath' certainly fits what came down on them all in the form of Gon.

+ I loved Luna's initial reaction to Lim. "You're a douchebag. I refuse to be your ally." LOL! I also like her disdain for him and the way he poked at her mental wounds. I'm hopeful that despite her anger and hurt over Tae-eul getting the good life and her accepting Lim's offer she won't side with him in the end. She's shown to have a lot of compassion and I think she's a good person at her core.

+ I wonder if we could get Tae-eul choosing Gon and becoming queen in Corea while Luna takes over her life in Korea and becomes 'Tae-eul'?

+ I am super curious about what is going on with Bu-yeong's son Seong-hoon. Him specifically being banished from Corea and out of the line of succession plus the cold harshness that both Gon and Bu-yeong spoke to him with indicates to me that he had to have been a supporter of Lim's. It's the only thing that makes sense to me. His father states he "cannot let him come anywhere near the Royal Court". So, he wasn't a part of the attack on the king but perhaps he was Lim's friend or protégé, perhaps he vocally supported Lim. Nothing that was enough to be sure he was a traitor but enough to make him forever suspicious and thus forever banished from Corea and out of the line of succession. He's so arrogant and entitled and he clearly wants everything Gon has so I can see him making a play for the throne.

+ If Bu-yeong suspected that Lim was connected to that bookstore than why didn't he simply tell Gon about it?

+ It bothered me that that section of Busan was a ghost town. It's the capital city and there is no way there would be literally no one around. It really took me out of the scene.

+ Ho-pil seems to be doing an admirable job filling in for Yeong but I'm really missing Yeong and Yeong/Gon. Plus you know if it had been Yeong shot he would have still been at Gon's side the next day. I hope Gon brings him back where he belongs soon.

+ Seo-ryung smiling at Gon's despair at the funeral and then admitting to herself later that she enjoyed seeing him like that - yikes. Then she basically starts a cold war with the king by releasing to the press about his absences and going incommunicado. I'd think both were a heavy indication of her siding with Lim except we also see that Lim has gotten to her counterpart Eun-ah who is preparing to take her place. So instead I'm mostly confused about what role Seo-ryung is playing going forward. Does she almost get taken and is saved, turning her to being Gon's ally?

+ I think it's Eun-ah in the Alley not Seo-ryung - we saw her changing her clothes to match Seo-ryung's style and we know Lim gives extensive background to his people before the change so her recognising Yeong would make sense.

+ Honestly the saleswoman trying to sell Tae-eul on her moisturizing spritzer while Tae-eul's distractedly working the case is my favourite bit of PPL on the show. It amused me.

+ I found the Kyung-moo situation confusing the first time. It made no sense that Lim would know about the raid beforehand and I was sure his Kyung-moo was the one who ran it. But then I realised that Lim was suspicious after Bu-yeong showed up and switched Kyung-moo and his more thug-like Korean counterpart, sacrificing the counterpart to Gon.

+ It was a little strange that none of Lim's men had guns. Yes, it's illegal and probably difficult to get some but it's Lim, I'm sure he could have found a way.
