+ I enjoyed the heist aspect and the sequence at the end with Irene escaping the trap set by Mr. Nemo and getting everything she wanted was great. Irene was very competent but not in a deus ex machina way that I really liked.
+ I’m interested in the mystery about the history of the dragons this sets up for future books. There are a lot of interesting questions to be asked - where did the father of the Dragon Kings go, what was the Cataclysm that sent them running and will it be a future issue, was there an implication that they weren’t always dragons and if so what were they?
+ I liked getting to meet Irene’s parents. There was no real forward movement made on her being adopted but I assume that will be important eventually.
+ I liked Kai/Irene but their relationship was very background and I wouldn’t mind a little more romance.
+ I wasn't a fan of the reasoning behind Mr. Nemo keeping Indigo. He says he only bargained for the method to capture her, they capture her and then he states that since he’s signing the peace treaty and she’s his guest they can’t take her and they agree. (Perhaps in large part because they don’t want to send her to be executed by the dragons.) I feel like that would void Mr Nemo's deal with with Kai.
+ The resolution to the Fae treaty representative made me go a little eh. I think Irene's new assistant being Lord Silver's niece could be really interesting but I'm not sure why this as an acceptable addition to the treaty?
