Doctor Who 12x05 Thoughts

I was spoiled for the big reveal months ago by a magazine with a picture of Ruth calling her the Doctor, which is too bad because that would have been such an amazing twist to have come into blind. Still I loved how the reveal played out.
I loved the Doctor/Ruth!Doctor interactions. I love that the Doctor continues her streak of not recognising herself and then not really getting along when she does. Them saying the same thing at the same time was fun. I love how annoyed they were about each other. Thirteen was mad about the gun trick but that was a very Doctor thing to do. Also a very Doctor thing - Ruth taking Thirteen's hand before beaming into the TARDIS.
Thus far I love what we've gotten with Ruth!Doctor and am intrigued to learn more about her. She definitely seems much more ruthless and... actiony? Aggressive. I'm intrigued to learn more about her.
I love Thirteen's angst and uncertainty over the impossibility of Ruth!Doctor and what it could mean. There were moments this episode that reminded me a lot of the Master in the second episode and I really can't wait till their inevitable reunion.
I feel like there are three possibilities with Ruth!Doctor - she's a pre-One Doctor who was erased from memory (seems very possible with the Master stuff), a Doctor from the future where Gallifrey is back and who's also had some memory messing, or she's a Doctor from an alternate universe. Not sure which idea I like best. Or, I guess a fourth option of her randomly being somewhere in between the Regenerations like the War Doctor but that option would definitely annoy me.
It was great to see Jack again though he did seem a little over the top even for him. I loved his reunion with 'the Doctor' - dramatic entrance, kiss and then hug - perfect. I can't wait until he's actually reunited with her. I loved his reaction to learning that she is a woman now. Oh, and I loved the way he asked "Is she safe?" because yeah, he still has feelings.
"You don't know me. Not even a little bit." I really loved this because yeah, there is so much they don't. (Moreso I think than any of the other Companions.) I love how the show is leaning slightly more into Thirteen's darker side. Her brooding at the beginning (and the fam watching her) was great.
The fam reassuring the Doctor that they know her, that she's the Doctor and they are sticking by her was sweet and a nice moment and I liked the Doctor's smile and that they did get through to her... and yet it also didn't resonate with me emotionally at all. I was instead going 'eh, nah you really don't know her'.
I liked what we saw of Gat and I'm sad she was killed off. I really wanted more on her relationship with the Doctor.
I'm also curious about Lee and his relationship with the Doctor. He was devoted to the point of being willing to die for her - so like a Companion. I got the sense he was Gallifreyan which is interesting. Also their choice to make themselves a married couple was certainly a choice. We're they in a relationship pre-hiding?
I loved the Doctor scoldingly talking to the TARDIS at the end. ("I know what you're doing. You're doing this deliberately.") She hasn't done that in awhile so it was nice.
 I like Ruth's TARDIS design.
I wish Jack had turned up during Twelve's run because imagining the Graham/Jack meeting playing out with Jack/Twelve instead delights me.
