Still enjoying this series. Good writing.
+ When Simone showed up the second time I was immediately suspicious of her and subsequently became sure that she was the jazz vampire so for most of the book I was left shaking my head at Peter. I did think that Simone was also Peggy/Cherie at least until Peter didn't recognise the photo and then wondered if she could change her face.
+ I don't know that I entirely buy that the sisters had no idea about what their feeding on men did but their deaths were very sad all the same and I felt bad for them, and for Peter. They didn't believe they would find any compassion or safety and took the only way out they could think of. The fact that Peter was so close to getting them in time with a really good compromise made it worse. I hope that he gets the opportunity to help some other hopeless supernatural creature.
+ I did find it strange and a bit unbelievable that a) Peter didn't go to Simone sooner and b) that Simone and her sisters didn't leave their apartment immediately. At the very least go to a hotel.
+ I continue to really like Peter's scientific interest in how magic works and his experimentations with spells and different ways to do things. I also really appreciated his talk with Nightingale about morality and how it applies to supernatural creatures.
+ I was very happy that Leslie returned. I liked her scenes with Peter. I actually liked that there was no obvious magic fix for her face but that Peter is also thinking about the possibility of one. I loved her revealing at the end that she figured out how to do magic. Fingers crossed that she becomes Nightingale's second apprentice.
+ Enjoyed having Stephanopoulos back and her exasperation in dealing with Peter.
+ I liked what little we saw of Sahra Guleed and hope she returns.
