Head Case

+ I loved everything about the opening scene. Martin was hilarious. Almost every line out of him was great. I loved all the looks back and forth between Jessica and Martin. I loved the ease between the two of them and him calling her Jessie. I loved the Jessica/Malcolm interaction at the end with her thanking him for protecting his sister and acknowledging how difficult a situation he was in while at the same time advocating for Ainsley and not backing down.

"Yes historically you love going to the cops at the first sign of mischief." LOL.

"Or counterpoint: maybe you handled it wrong when you dropped a dime on dear old dad. I'm just saying if he's fine with murder cover ups I could have done with a little of that energy back in '98" LOL! Also Jessica's expression after the first sentence was great.

+ Malcolm's concussion AU world was an interesting AU. What stuck out to me was Ainsley "following in her father's footsteps". Malcolm's brain was giving him clues to his case but what if it was also giving clues about other things as well? I feel like Ainsley's always close to mind since Endicott. Then we got that whammy of an ending. Super interested in who she killed this time.

+ It bothered me a little that after Malcolm is pushed we cut to him in the hospital with only a minor concussion and him choosing to get back to work but fine, he got lucky and it's in character. Except that was a dream and in reality he finishes work and then heads home without getting any medical attention even though it should have been Dani and JT's first call wth? So that bothered me a lot.

+ I'm sad that there was no Edrisa and that we didn't get to see her in Malcolm's AU concussion world.
