Episode 8

+ Gwang-ho/Sun-jae were great. I like how things played out with them and their growing partnership. I liked Gwang-ho saving Sun-jae and then claiming responsibility to protect him to Sung-shik afterwards. I loved Sun-jae thanking him, Gwang-ho asking him to repeat it in disbelief and Sun-jae simply walking away. I'm glad that Sun-jae wasn't resentful towards Gwang-ho for not solving his mother's case.

+ Yeon-suk's death wasn't really unexpected. I was sure that Jae-yi was their daughter and there was no way I could see Yeon-suk giving their daughter up for adoption thus something bad had to have happened to her. Still I was really sad for Gwang-ho when he leaned the truth.

+ We got confirmation that Jae-yi is in fact Yeon-ho aka Gwang-ho's daughter. Also not unexpected but nice to have confirmed anyway. I can't wait until this truth comes out.

+ I really love Sung-shik loyalty to and love of Gwang-ho. He goes above and beyond for him. I appreciated him spending the entire day trying to track down Yeon-suk and then being there to support Gwang-ho in his grief. I loved his reaction after the explosion. He was terrified of losing him. It made even clearer how Gwang-ho's 'death' sincerely affected him.

+ The way Gwang-ho doesn't even try to maintain any sort of believability over Yeon-suk and will come out with lines like 'I knew she'd wait for me' makes me facepalm. Poor Sung-shik, lol.

+ I like that Sun-jae appears to have a good and close relationship with his (step)mother.

+ Since I'm still side-eying Dr. Mok a bit this line - "I told him not to chase him, but to wait for him. I guess he failed again." - made me go hmmm. Because on the face of it it seems to be about Sun-jae but that doesn't entirely make sense to me. The action here is Ho-young killing again and Sun-jae investigating the crime, does that really count as Sun-jae 'chasing him'? Meanwhile if Mok is talking about Ho-young 'chasing' aka killing in a pointed and obvious way to force a reaction from Sun-jae makes more sense and ties into the following scene of Jae-yi telling Sun-jae that Ho-young is doing this to instigate a reaction in him. Could Mok be a serial killer? Could he have been the real killer 30 years ago? Or maybe they were working together?

The thing is if Ho-young is the serial killer than Gwang-ho already knows that. So why is he still trapped in the future? Meanwhile if Ho-young isn't the killer, or the only killer, and there is more Gwang-ho needs to uncover it would explain why he's still stuck in the future. I actually believe this regardless of Dr. Mok's status. I think there has to be another killer out there that they don't know about.
