+ It's nice to finally get a concrete piece of Kexing's backstory. Zhen Yan! The son of the Healers. Did in fact know Zishu as a child, and probably hero-worshipped him.
+ My favourite moment was Zishu pulling Kexing into a hug at the beginning. Kexing letting himself cry. Kexing putting his hand on Zishu's waist and holding him back. The way Kexing leans into Zishu, eyes closed, and for a moment accepting the comfort he provides - ugh it was so good. And then Zishu gently cups the back of his head, touching him so softly. I also loved how after Kexing immediately pulls away and denies everything Zishu reaches out and grabs hold of his hand as he tells Long Que about Zhen Yan and his parents fate.
+ Zishu's "...and even got you back." was lovely.
+ I love how upset Kexing gets every time Zishu mentions his illness/that he's dying.
+ I'm deeply curious about Kexing's despairing "It's too late", is he simply talking about Zishu and his illness? The fact that they've found each other or Zishu has realised who he is 'too late'? It's 'too late' for Zishu's lovely dream for their future to actually happen even if he wanted it? It's 'too late' because Kexing's revenge plans are already in motion and can't be stopped/he won't stop?
+ Chengling grabbing both his masters' hands and happily pulling them along was adorable.
+ I love how pleased Xiang is with herself when she figures out how to make accompanying Weining a part of her orders from Kexing. Though of course it's not like she wants to do it. Cute.
+ So Chengling is now the only heir/disciple for three different schools of martial arts. Isn't that a bit much to put on one person? Is he going to collect them all? I'm just waiting for Baiyi to eventually decide he can teach Chengling too. It occurs to me that in another canon Chengling would be the hero protagonist.
