I enjoyed it.
+ I liked Ben Affleck as Bruce/Batman a lot more than I was expecting.
+ Diana was A+. Best moment was when Doomsday hits her into the ground hard and she turns around and gives this marvellous smirk and ugh I just loved it so much. She was excellent during the fight.
+ I get what they were doing with the whole 'Martha' situation and I think the idea of it is excellent. Having Bruce finally see Superman as a person by connecting their mothers, great. Them both being named Martha plus Bruce's long standing issues around his parents seems an obvious place to go. Where it falls apart is for Superman to say it like that - "Save Martha" instead of 'save my mother' - it feels kind of forced. Maybe having Lois say Martha's name and then Superman can say 'my mother' would have worked better.
eta: Actually you know what Clark knows Batman is Bruce Wayne, I'm sure he did his research on him and knows his mother's name was Martha too, so I guess he could have gone with Martha in the hopes of reaching Bruce, which in fact worked.
+ Superman continuing to go after Batman during their fight didn't make sense to me. There were several times where he could have tried to deescalate or even quickly ask 'I need your help/Lex Luthor kidnapped my mother' and instead he continued the fight. He was just as involved in that nonsense as Batman when his focus should have been 100% on getting help to save his mom. It didn't work for me.
+ I also had an issue of Superman going to stop Lex/figure out what the hell he was doing with the ship and then literally just standing there listening to Lex talk while a countdown was happening in the background. Like, get it together, Clark!
+ I loved the scene of Superman in space, absorbing the sunlight.
+ Alfred was fun. Loved his snarkiness and constant grumbling and how done he was with Bruce's everything, and yet how loyal he still was. His little mutter about there not being another generation of Waynes made me laugh.
+ Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor was actually enjoyable as long as I consider him Lex's son not classic Lex Luthor.
+ I liked the Bruce/Diana scenes.
+ I loved that Clark was obsessing over the Batman.
+ Clark/Lois were nice. I liked the bathtub scene except that he stepped in while wearing his shoes.
+ Man, Batman was just straight up murdering people left right and centre. I guess sure, why not considering Superman in Man of Steel. This is just the murder!verse version.
+ I heard a lot of complaining about the jar of piss, which did sound deeply stupid, but in context it worked for me. It was Lex taking Senator Finch's words to taunt her before her death. Absolutely believable imo.
+ I loved that little moment between Martha and Batman after he saves her where he says he's a friend of her son's and she replies "I figured. The cape"
+ I loved all of Diana's gowns. She looked amazing.
+ Lois throwing the spear into the water, meh. It would have worked better if Batman's throw landed it in the water. If you're going to have her do that though then at least let her be the one to retrieve it instead of having her need to be rescued. Especially since she also had to be rescued by him at the beginning of the movie. Annoyed. (I also hate how when she ran back into the building she tripped and fell into a puddle, and that she didn't actually jump into the pool after the spear but only stood there looking into the water until the ceiling fell in.) Just overall, not a fan of this end sequence for Lois.
Honestly Batman was so outclassed in fighting Doomsday and ended up doing little for most of the scene that they should have just had him retrieve it. Especially since that was the entire point of him returning.
+ When the crowd was shouting 'burn him' re: superman all I could think was that clearly they weren't paying attention since it was recently proven that doesn't work!
