iariaI liked Being Human season 3 so I was looking forward to season four. When I heard casting spoilers that Sinead Keenan and Russell Tovey weren’t returning it made me a bit sad and definitely worried. Reading that Russell Tovey would be returning for some episodes made me even more nervous. How could they keep George around if Nina was gone? I decided to wait until after a couple episodes had aired and spoil myself for how it was handled before watching and I am so glad I did. Apparently Nina was murdered off-screen and then George dies at the end of episode one. D: That is not what I wanted/expected! Why couldn’t the show just send them off together to raise their baby in peace and then follow Annie – doing anything really? From what I've read I don't like the direction this season is going so I’m not going to bother watching.
Nikita 2x14 ‘Rogue’
• The scene that made the biggest impression was the small moment between Carla and Roan where Roan let her touch his face. He let her caress his acid-burned cheek! It was all gentle-like! I think that’s the softest we’ve ever seen Roan be. Colour me intrigued. Now I really want to know more about Roan Carla’s history with everyone. Plus I think I might already ship them a little bit!
• “Bring it on. All the people I love carry guns.” - Nikita ♥
• The show is really pushing the ‘daddy’ subtext with Percy. This episode gave us “Sweetheart I know more about you than you know about yourself” and then “You wanted daddy’s attention you got it.” That is now three times in two episodes. It’s got to be misdirection.
• I think Carla happened upon the Ari/Amanda connection and that’s why Amanda was determined to get rid of her. It was probably a small moment, something innocuous that didn’t really make an impression on Carla – maybe she didn’t know who Ari was – but it is something that can completely ruin Amanda’s plans. Of course if that’s true then that means Amanda and Ari have been working together for a very long time and they have been playing a very long game. I don’t know that the time line works.
Once Upon a Time 1x12 ‘Skin Deep’
I was considering dropping this series. I’ve been getting increasingly meh about it and I actively disliked the previous episode. So this one was a surprise because I actually liked it!
• I really liked Belle and it’s great to have Emilie de Ravin in a show I watch again. I thought she did a great job.
• I also liked where the show went with the Belle/Rumpelstiltskin romance. I was already half-way sold on it when Rumpelstiltskin caught Belle. I did think things progressed between them, as far as feelings go, too quickly but then that seems par the course with this show.
• I liked the little touches calling back to the Disney movie – the gold dress at the beginning, the blue dress the rest of the time and the chipped teacup.
• I really thought that Rumpelstiltskin would end up turning Belle into a chipped teacup.
• All the Regina/Rumpelstiltskin interactions were excellent.
• I also really liked the Emma/Gold interactions.
• I’m really glad Emma wasn’t being an idiot.
• I continue to not like Mary/David. The cheating storyline really has ruined them for me.
