Bodies Bodies Bodies

It was okay.

+ I'd read it was a super fun and funny take on this type of story but I didn't find it funny at all?

+ I liked Bee fine but I can't help but think that things would have gone forward with a lot less death if she hadn't been there. David's death set off the fear and paranoia but it was with Greg's murder that things in the group really devolved. I'm not sure any of the others actually would have killed him. (But maybe it would have still ended in death if he killed one of the girls and it spiralled from there.) Bee was the one who left the mirror open and drained the car battery preventing them from their first instinct to flee. (But fleeing in a car in a hurricane is also a terrible idea and could have easily ended with them all dead.) Bee is the one who confronted Jordan about having the gun which led to Alice and her own death. (But everyone's reactions aren't her fault and those emotions might have bubbled up anyway.) She's also the one who pushed Jordan.

+ I liked the reveal that David's death was a self-caused accident of doing something stupid.

+ Half way through I had the thought of Max showing up at the end like Troy-with-pizza and then he did and that was great.

The Lost City

I enjoyed it. It was pretty fun and surprisingly rather sweet and it amused me.

+ While I did find it funny overall a lot of the in your face humour moments didn't work for me - like the awkward onstage interview. But there were a lot of small moments/reactions peppered throughout that did very much work.

+ Jack and Alan's rescue of Loretta was pretty fun. I enjoyed Jack as a character. I liked Jack and Alan's interactions during the fights. I loved Loretta's "No time? But there's been so much chitchat." (LOL, so true.) I liked Alan's jealousy as Loretta and Jack bonded. Jack's unexpected headshot 'death' at the end was a great twist.

+ I found Loretta and Alan's reactions and attempts to justify what happened after the two motorcycle riders went off the cliff hilarious. The jump from their glee at their plan working to appalled silence to how can this be okay justification was great.

+ Loretta/Alan were cute. I loved his very obvious pining for her. I loved how he helped her through the two frozen moments of panic she had. I liked that her first thought upon realising that they were only shooting at Dash was that she could bodyguard him.

+ Alan was delightful tbh. He's very dumb (human mummy, synonym/cinnamon lol) but he's also painfully earnest, thoughtful (he brought her cheese, water and boots!) and kind.

+ I loved Alan revealing that in the beginning he had been so embarrassed to be her cover model he stopped talking to his friends until an encounter with an enthusiastic fan had made him realise that bringing joy to people wasn't something to be ashamed about. It was a great little character moment. I loved his respect for the fans of the books.

+ Daniel Radcliffe as Abigail Fairfax was very fun. Enjoyed everything with him. I feel like he's on his way to being like a future Bond villain I love that for him.

+ The sniper getting Jack immediately but then failing multiple times to get Alan was rather unbelievable.
