iariaChapter 8: Indigenous Gods
+ We got some lovely Yeon/Rang scenes. I liked Yeon showing Rang his video but I wish he'd been given more context for what was happening. That Yeon gave his life saving the world, and that Rang did in fact have a family who loved him.
+ Poor Rang. Of course he'd take what was said to mean that Yeon has only been kind and loving to him out of guilt. "You. All of you keep making me weak."
But what he really means is Yeon. Because he 'fell' for Yeon's facade of love, the one thing he's only ever wanted. I am glad that this situation got cleared up so quickly.
+ Sigh, Yeo-hee/Rang sadly just doesn't work for me. They spent too long with Rang oblivious and uncaring in a romantic way. They could have thrown in him smiling at her when she wasn't looking, or thinking about her or almost anything to indicate that she was getting to him emotionally. But I saw nothing to indicate that until he kissed her in the previous episode. As such, it felt like they moved way too fast this episode and it didn't work and felt shallow? I want Rang to have a happy ending, Yeo-hee is nice enough and I appreciate her tough love and devotion to Rang. But I can't buy the romantic happily ever after on his side.
+ Aw the Moo-young and Hyunuiong scene was very sweet.
+ "Be sure to protect yourself too." Awww. Yeon/Hong-ju were also very sweet and I loved the hug.
+ I love that Yeon cheated to win.
