Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 Episode 9

The Yeon vs Moo-young vs Hong-ju fight over the treasures was super fun. I love that none of them, even Moo-young, are aiming to actually injure each other. It makes it come off me like a game. My favourite moment was Hong-ju faking an injury and then hitting Moo-young over the head with a rock.
Some lovely Yeon/Rang moments. I loved Rang's certainty that if he was at Yeon's side he wouldn't die. I loved Yeon bringing up the possibility of Rang coming to the future. Yeon's protectiveness of Rang. Rang demanding to go with Yeon and for Yeon to let him make these choices himself - and at the end Yeon trusting that Rang could take care of himself. The hug! Yeon giving the rings. No major scene with them but all of it lovely.
Honestly I'm bummed that I don't like Rang/Yeo-hee more. I want to be more than neutral about their relationship considering how much I love Rang. This episode did give me my favourite moment between them yet. Rang taking an upset Yeo-hee to the ocean was super sweet and considerate. This is what I wanted to see more of between them. I also liked him offering to be her family. That makes sense to me from someone who has felt alone/abandoned for so long. I just - I have such a hard time buying it. The running in the waves was cute, I love seeing him laugh and having carefree fun, but I was also thinking 'eh really?' Same with him telling her he now 'had something to protect. Meh.
Hong-ju deciding that she wanted to escape with her people into the future honestly makes a lot of sense and I loved it. Fingers crossed for her.
"Do I look merciful to you?" - Yeon Just how he said that was great.
I really like how Yeon is approaching the situation wit Moo-young. Them having a drink in the forest was a nice scene.
I'm judging Yeon a bit for taking what he knew would likely be a violent confrontation to a hotel full of innocent humans. That was dumb. Also turning off the lights to keep them in their rooms made me go 'really?'
I'm judging Moo-young A LOT for letting the yacha loose. It killed so many people and ended up being completely unnecessary for his plan.
Did Moo-young do something to the Yacha or do they always turn into zombies? Cause they didn't the previous time we saw her.
Shin-joo vs Rang's second continues to be amusing. I loved Shin-joo pranking him with the shoes. I liked the two of them using their usual behaviour to get ride of Jae-yoo.
Kato is so creepy with Eun-ho and... I'm kind of enjoying it? I loved her trying to shoot him. I hope she gets to kill him somehow.
I was surprised that Eun-ho's terrible father was so against her marrying Kato. I thought it might be because he'd been married to her sister but nope. If he was willing to marry her to him before, and did her sister, then why not now?
