Episode 30
+ 'One was my best friend', uh really? I mean I loved what we got between Qingcang and Xiao Run and I super wanted them to unexpectedly become best friends but I don't think there was enough time that I would go that far. But okay, fine. I do absolutely buy his "Because I know them well." because at this point I think he does have a good handle on both.
+ Xunfeng telling Lanhua that actually he 'respected her very much' was great. Especially as he's in the middle of keeping her prisoner. And I believe him.
+ I like Xunfeng. I kind of wish he had more to do. But he is all over the freaking place and I need him to just pick a damn side/opinion and stick to it. Supportive, combative, wanting his brother's love, disdainful about him; every episode I never know what side I'm going to get and it's a little annoying.
+ So the Nine Bone Devouring Spikes punishment really was just nonsense drama that had no further purpose or effect.
Episode 31
+ Lanhua actually dying was unexpected!
+ Aw, Qingcang trapping himself in a happy dream of being with Lanhua. It was so weird to see him laughing and freely joyful but also lovely even if it was made up.
+ Rong Hao getting Chidi Nuzi back and then immediately lying his ass off with her made me shake my head. Why does he have to always make the worst choices!? Is he planning on keeping her prisoner in that house? Eventually she's going to want to leave, she's going to interact with another person, she will learn the truth. They are very long lived. Doofus.
+ I was very confused these two episodes but the reveal that Qingcang is trying to make her hate him so the Bone Orchid can be removed and her life saved is... frustrating. I get it since he thinks it's the only way to save her. Her love for him literally being what is killing her is a fun twist but also it's not going to work! It's obviously not going to work and he'd be better served to actually communicate and work as a team with her like they promised.
+ We literally watched Rong Hao kill the last of the Xishan, including her parents. Did the Moon Tribe kill off some of them and Rong Hao finished them off?
+ The Moon Tribe filling in their ranks with women is great and all, and a great visual of how much death there's been, but surely they could have given them armour! With so many dead there has to be enough excess around to outfit them.
+ Xunfeng planning on letting Lanhua kill herself shows he really really doesn't understand his brother. Somehow.
+ A dying Lanhua crawling towards the Chengying sword so she could die purposefully to save Qingcang was a great moment. I liked how it was inter-cut with an injured Qingcang desperately crawling to find and save Lanhua.
+ I liked that Danyin was among the fighters.
+ Changheng saving Lanhua, getting into a fight with Rong Hao and rejecting him was exactly what I was expecting. I was surprised by how much stronger Rong Hao seemed to be then Changheng. I thought they were more evenly matched. I know it's unlikely but I really want their friendship to recover.
+ How disorienting must it be to die and then come back to life with everyone else around you en mass? I was not expecting that.
