It is a perfectly fine procedural. Nothing really engaging but a good background show. I'm not super attached to any of the characters or the relationships sadly.

+ I like all the characters fine. Colter Shaw is a great name and an okay lead. Likeable enough.

+ I do like the idea of the show with Colter as a reward-collecting sort of bounty hunter of missing people.

+ After all the build up about Russell I thought his appearance was lacking something. I feel like it should have had more weight to it. He definitely should have been the final case.

+ Jensen Ackles is an interesting choice - I don't think he really fits with the younger version we're shown but I'd buy him related to Justin Hartley. Also fun to have the Days of Our Lives reunion.

Some random case thoughts:

+ In ep 1, Colter's confrontation with cult leader Seth worked for me. I was kind of into that.

+ In ep 3, it was great to see Murphy on another show.

+ In ep 4 Noah deciding to confront his girlfriend's violent ex was a terrible idea. Make better choices. I did like that security guard Ritter wasn't a bad guy.

+ In ep 5, I did not believe for a second that Mallory's over-protective uncle would let her leave with Colter without going with her, especially knowing her life was in direct danger.

+ In ep 7, I was annoyed that Art revealed himself to be the leader of the fighting ring. Even with him planning on killing Colter and Bobby why take the risk of associating himself with his criminal enterprise instead of staying in the shadows?

+ In ep 8, Colter should have led with 'if you go to kill him you are giving up your life with Daniela and letting them win' instead of the rather lacklustre 'don't do this'.

+ In ep 9, I found the way the sheriff (and others) talked about Lana (and Jamie/Toby) as if there was something very mentally wrong with them simply because they were into the occult/ghosts and dressed in black really strange in itself and very off-putting. That behaviour seems so mild? There are ghost-hunter tv shows. Emo/goth kids are a trope! Is it really so weird? Also man poor Lana, I'm so glad she was rescued.

+ In ep 11, I thought Hewitt was going to kill Chuck but I thought it would be because he was like 'wtf, we can't kill someone, this guy is insane, I have to play along so I can stop' but nope.
