2x01 'Year of the Monkey'

Cole and Ramse continue to be great. I ike that they still don't actually agree with each other on what to do but are sticking together because they have a common enemy and also because they love each other.

Katarina laughing at basically disassembling one of the 12 with the Machine is one of the reasons I love her. I love her vicious and uncompromising side.

I'm not sure why Deacon would take the chance of destroying the maachine when it's necessary for him to get the pills he needs to live without even a fight over it. He's not the smartest but he's not an idiot.

I rolled my eyes a little at Cassie's determination to kill Jennifer as if it would stop the apocalypse. As long as the 12 Monkeys are out there no one person is going to change everything.

Aww to Cole not only refusing to kill Jennifer but then protecting her from Cassie to the point he pointed a gun at her. I do enjoy their weird little connection.

I know it would have slowed things down, and I'm sure well get more flashbacks, but I really wish that the show had taken the time to give us some of those 8 months Cassie was in the future. More then the very short starting montage at least because the change in her attitude and also her closeness with Deacon would have landed better.

They changed the future! Like genuinely changed it. So I guess a happy ending is possible. I loved getting to see it change from Katarina's perspective. That moment when she bumped into the ghostly soldier and he turned to look at her was neat. Having only those with the serum remember the previous timeline was probably necessary but it also added a nice little wrinkle especially since they don't remember the current changed timeline. Curious if that will change.

Did we know Jennifer could see different timelines/the changes in timeline? I don't remember that in season one, or maybe I missed it, but I love it. Poor Jennifer!

Continuing to enjoy Jennifer and Cole. I'm sad she left at the end because I wanted to see them actually working together. Jennifer keeps trusting and relying on Cole but I rather wanted to see him grow to trust and understand her in return. Him dismissing her at the hotel made me sad for her. So too did her asking Cole "why do I always have to hurt myself to get your attention?" I hope they do end up meeting again,

I'm excited to see what the show does with the Daughters because I have no idea at this point what purpose Jennifer found for herself. But I love the idea of what she built.

I loved Cole pointing out at the end that the one time they managed to actually change the future was when Cole showed compassion and saved a life, and not any of the many times he'd killed someone to try and save it.

I liked the Cole and Katarina scene and him saying he's still with her.

Dr. Eckland dropping that bed line and then leaving is such a tv show thing to do. I don't buy him dropping that on his girlfriend/wife who doesn't remember him and them not discussing it right then.

Dr. Eckland's line about how getting under Katarina's shell was his favourite things and he was glad he had the chance to do it again could have worked but instead hit creepy to me? idk. If it had been stated more like being worth youis worth having to get to know you again that'd be fine but something about how he said it rubbbed me wrong.
