It was interesting to go from Cassie and Ramse very reluctantly working together in the last episode and being forced to reveal that the reason they dislike each other is out of jealousy over Cole only for them to work together this episode to deceive Cole. I enjoyed their little frenemy collab.
Cassie is upfront with Cole and immediately shakes her head. Meanwhile Ramse appears to give in and verbally agrees and then conspires to work against Cole. How very in character.
For someone who doesn't like her Ramse was surprisingly pissed off over Cassie potentially being tortured and then being hit. Just interesting.
It was great to see Robert Gale again. The show did exactly what I wanted. I loved the implication that he and Cole had had many more run-ins in the intervening decades and had become friends. That said I am sad for Gale because it appears learning the truth really affected his life in a negative way, not even counting how it led to his death.
Lovely moment between Cole and Katarina. I liked him telling her not to worry. I loved her having his back at the end.
What a big step for Katarina for her to decide that she wanted to chose the path of hope over the path of revenge.
Olivia turning on the Witness was an interesting twist. Imagine if she started working with Cole! I'm interested to see where the story goes with her. Especially with the reveal about her origins. She was genetically engineered at the behest of the Witness. She is stronger, she heals faster. What else is she? Can she pass through time without needed an injection?
Also I assumed in the previous episode that she was the daughter of the female Messenger who escaped but I didn't really think about what that meant aka both Olivia and the Tall Man oversaw the birth of their mother!
