Hannah is Cole's mother! I was kind of into the idea that Olivia was Cole's grandmother but Katarina being his grandmother this whole time also really works for me. They've always been family!
How utterly strange and even destroying was that for Cole? To learn that his mother is Hannah of all people as she dies in his arms. Ouch.
As suspected Cole is the demon. If I hadn't put it together from the last episode that would have been a great twist but I do love that this is the direction the show went in. Cole travelling in time is what caused time to become an Ouroboros and the only way to fix it is to remove him from time. I have no idea where the show is going to go with this. Is there even a way to get a happy ending from here?
The only thing I can think of to save Cole is to pull him out of Causality like Olivia is. Kicking him out of Time itself.
I did love the moment of Cole returning and kneeling to hold Katarina's hand and then later with the three of them sitting together. However I also wanted more. This is such a huge reveal for the Katarina/Cole relationship and I wanted them to actually talk face to face about it!
I liked that the strange symbols Jennifer has been writing for so long were a map of Time with Cole's Splinters (and only his) picked out as a message of what needs to be done.
I loved the call-back of Jennifer and Cole's first scenes when she told him if he gave her yellow she could paint the world.
I was a little confused at first but I like the twist of Team Splinter having to help release the virus themselves in order to make sure they are still around to stop Olivia from unmaking Time.
Cassie dropped the virus at her feet - does that mean she's infected now?
The Jennifer/Katarina scene with Jennifer reassuring her that "you will. I'm here. I'll push you until the clock stops" was really sweet.
I loved that Jennifer was the one to notice and point out that it made no sense for the Seers to "gift wrap a needle in a haystack". Once again she notices the obvious and redirects people to where they should be looking.
Once again we get a loop around Cole - Hannah was at the airport to sacrifice herself because Cole/Jones went back in time to tell her what would happen.
What was Hannah doing for all those years as she waited to be reunited with Team Splinter?
Aw poor Emma. She was kind of an after thought in the end. She was so happy at the idea of being a mother and that smile her and Hannah shared made me sad that we never got to see the friendship between them.
