Until Dawn
Oct. 8th, 2025 09:41 pmI liked it.
+ I get why they chose to call it Until Dawn, I appreciate the idea of expanding the world of Until Dawn and making this a spin-off (or prequel?), and I even like what they did with it but I'm still a little miffed that we didn't get the movie version of the game cause I really love the game.
+ I was pleasantly surprised by everyone surviving. It was unexpected because that almost never happens in horror movies and it almost ended up a twist in itself. It was great.
+ I genuinely really liked the whole cast and was rooting for all of them to survive. I liked the friendships and bought their care for each other. I really loved that several of them chose death to reset the day in order to try and make sure everyone survived. I loved them working as a team on the last day.
+ I love time loops so the idea of repeating the day over and over after death immediately worked for me. I liked that the danger changed each day based on their actions. The whole concept was fun.
+ Nina and Gabe are certainly going to have some things to work out with the whole stabbing him with a scythe thing! I can't decide if I think this experience is going to bond him to the group or send him running.
+ I was a little bothered that it took Clover so long to attack the killer the first night. She watched him smack Megan's face into the ground like four times before attacking. At that point she was dead! A little late! I did like when they woke we had that silent moment where Clover started to go to her and Megan was like 'nope stay back'. Fair.
+ When everyone collapsed on the ground at the end I was very nervous. I realise they are exhausted but that is a terrible place to just drop to the ground! Keep moving! Gabe suddenly popping up in the car and urging them to move was pretty much where I was at.
+ I wish we'd gotten one or two more days played out.
+ I loved the circle of rain around Glore but not over Glore.
+ Always great to see Peter Stormare. So is the implication that he is the one behind what happened in the game too? It makes me want to revisit the game to see if it changes how I view things.
+ The fact that their pictures were still up on the missing board during the credits
