Episode 1: Gochujang Butter Bibimbap
+ I'm enjoying Ji-young and Yi-heon's interactions thus far. Starting them off with her not understanding who he is was the best choice. I love how childish they become together. The entire fight over the knife was hilarious.
+ Okay I know that Mok-ju is going to be an antagonist but they won me over to her side in her flashback. "Would you like to hold me for a moment before you die?" ♥ Although this was also good: "I may just become a dangerous sword aimed at your neck tomorrow." I love her. Dare I hope she is won over by Ji-young and this gets to be prophetic words? And she murdered her abusive husband, good for her. I wish only good things for her, she's a delight.
+ Poor Su-hyeok, being the king's bodyguard is clearly a thankless job. I think I'm going to like him.
+ I wish that all of Ji-young's competitor's dishes hadn't been criticised while hers was only praised. If they had all had very strong dishes and the competition was fierce her winning would have had more weight.
Episode 2: Sous Vide Cuisine
+ "When someone with an outstanding palate acknowledges me, I feel very proud of myself." I loved his little smile/chuckle. It was cute.
+ Ji-young and Gil-geum are wonderful. Gil-geum is just the sweetest and they are adorable together. I loved Yi offering to bring Gil-geum into the future. I loved Gil-geum believing her immediately that she was from the future. I loved Ji-young offering to be her cooking mentor. I loved them declaring that they would 'stand strong together'. Their gleeful jumping for joy together at not being chosen as potential courtesans was really cute.
+ I enjoyed how involved all the other women got in the cooking, how supportive they were of Ji-young and upset on her behalf when she was going to be punished.
+ There is no way Yi-heon didn't know exactly what he was doing. The way he looked at Mok-ju he knows he set Ji-young up to be targeted by her.
+ Mok-ju being the villainess of the tale just makes me want even more for there to be a reveal that history got it wrong. Okay she's currently conspiring with the Grand Prince against the King but things can change! She's for sure going to torment Ji-young but I'm pulling for her to go against stereotype.
+ I can see why Yi-heon is still such close friends with Song-jae. There is an ease and trust between them that the king probably has with no one else. It's too bad he'll probably be a bad guy. Though I'd love if he ends up proving loyal to Yi-heon over all else. I liked that little moment when he stopped the bodyguard from intervening during Ji-young vs Yi-heon on the cliff. I enjoyed their spar with the fans.
