Nikita 2x19 Review

+ Maggie Q did an amazing job. The scene where Nikita went off on Brandt was incredible.
+ I loved Michael's response to Nikita saying there was evil in her - "Maybe you do. Maybe that is a part of you. That is all that it is it is a part. A part. It is not all of you. And that is what I love. All of you." ♥ First, I love that he didn't simply brush away her confession. Second, this was an amazing declaration of love. The whole scene was amazing. So was their scene at the end. The Nikita/Michael stuff in this episode was A+
+ I love the role reversal of Nikita and Michael in their relationship. They both have serious angst and baggage in their past but it's Nikita who's the tortured hero and it's Michael who's the emotionally aware and supportive partner.
+ I was disappointed by the lack of Nikita/Alex in this ep. They had that lovely scene at the beginning but then nothing really. All of the overt worry/fear for Nikita was given to Michael and most of the worry/comfort Alex was giving was directed at Sean. After Nikita was taken when Alex was comforting Michael I found myself wishing that we could see her being just as upset.
After they found Nikita Alex went to Sean without even giving Nikita a hug. She did go to Michael's side, she did ask Nikita if she was okay, Nikita/Michael were having their own moment and Alex didn't realise that Nikita was having a bit of an existential crisis while she did know Sean was dealing with a hell of a lot... logically I get all this but emotionally, damn it I want a hug! I love Nikita/Michael (Alex/Sean are okay) but Nikita/Alex is still the central pair for me and I want them to remain the central pair on the show too.
+ I know things don't stay the same for long on this show but I really hope we get at least a couple episodes of Team Nikita all together again. I love them and how they work together and how much of a found family they are. It'd be nice to get to enjoy them all for awhile.
+ I understand why they had Sean kill Brandt but I loved Nikita managing to free herself and I wish that she had saved herself and Michael (with a little foot help from him).
+ I think we saw Percy making a huge misstep when he told past!Nikita that she had evil in her.
+ It's too bad that Madeline was killed but to be honest I was kind of disappointed with the character. The Madeline of La Femme Nikita was amazing and I was hoping for something similar with this character and unfortunately it never really materialized. It felt like a waste of Alberta's talents.
+ I'm confused about how Nikita could have thought she'd taken down Division. How did she know Amanda didn't go back to Division if she didn't know about Birkoff's show-and-tell with the Amanda video? Even ignoring that just because Amanda and Percy aren't in charge at Division it doesn't mean Division is done. It's still physically there with all the people and missions running and money and guns... what did she think was going to happen?
This is kind of perplexing considering that during her disagreements with Carla only a couple episodes back Nikita was very clear that she thought everything was bad/wrong and had to go - not just Amanda and Percy. That to her they weren't the only thing she was trying to take down. That short information exchange with Alex was kind of a throw away bit of exposition but that doesn't make it any less annoying that it's so completely wrong.
Oh, also what the hell was Madeline/the US government doing? Just how much time has passed? If they know via Nikita that Amanda is out why the hell haven't they tried to go and dismantle or take over Division again? And in the process discovering that Percy is back. It makes no sense.
