Once Upon a Time 2x02 Thoughts

I like this episode a lot less then the previous one but it was still good.
+ I spent most of it wishing for the show to get back to Snow and Emma. When it did... I realise that Mulan and Aurora blamed them for Philip’s death (or ‘death’?) but the whole prisoner situation was rather unexpected.
+ I like Charming so much more than David so I’m glad that’s who he is all the time now. He was great. I loved his scene with Rumpelstiltskin.
+ I find it hard to understand, and thus buy, Regina’s change of hearts this episode. The Storybrooke one was the more believable for me, even though it felt a bit too abrupt, because I get her realising that she is being like her mother and that being like a dousing of cold water. The Enchanted Forest one however felt really unsupported. Regina’s change in one short conversation from finally getting the freedom she’s always wanted to accepting magic and Rumpelstiltskin’s mentorship was – weird. I don’t understand why she made that choice. Is it really simply because she loved using magic?
+ All the Storybrooke residents planning on leaving didn’t make sense either.
+ I liked Regina’s final monologue to Henry and Henry’s earlier line – “You made me feel like I was crazy.”
+ Henry calling Charming ‘gramps’ made me laugh. I liked the shot of them in the diner at the end and the emphasis on how similar they were.
+ I was seeing a lot of dark and kind of creepy chemistry between Rumpelstiltskin and Regina in the Enchanted Forest flashbacks.
