• I enjoyed Nolan/Emily.
"This is Emily my... (searches for words) my - Emily." - Nolan lol. Is the word 'friend' that difficult?
“I love it when you’re bossy, it means something hot is going to happen. So what can I look forward to?” - Nolan
I realise both of those were for Padma's sake but I loved them all the same. I also loved him rushing out because "Ems needs me" ♥
I also liked their last scene - that Nolan wasn't immediately forgiving and in fact moved away from her when she sat beside him, that Emily opened up to him emotionally (her version of apologising) and that his immediate reaction was "how can I help? I also liked her not taking him up on his offer and instead gently pushing him away (again, and I don't expect this time to last either). She does spend so much time relying on him that it can feel like she uses him/take him for granted. Her not doing so in this case and her promise to 'find a way to thank him' were nice to see.
• Too bad about Nolan moving out - I loved the idea of them as roommates. Maybe he'll be back.
• I liked that little moment, when they see Emily's lights on, and Daniel tells his mom that Emily is up cleaning because it’s what she does when she can’t sleep.
• So what Takeda runs a Revenge How To camp? How did either of them even find him? I'm wondering if he's actually trying to take down The Initiative and has been purposefully gathering people they've hurt and training them to take it down?
• Now I have a third reason to be annoyed that Aiden killed Gordon aka White Haired Killer instead of Emily – there could have been so much extra drama involved if Emily had killed the man her mother loved.
• Declan is so dumb. Also the show clearly skipped a scene or two with him because holding a bracelet for someone to breaking and entering with them is a pretty big leap.
• I disliked Emily using the paternity against Amily at the party. It felt very sloppy of her in a way?
• I was super annoyed with Jack ordering Amily to give back the gift certificate. It is really not his place to tell Amily what to do - especially with her family (as far as he knows.)
• Poor Amily. That's pretty much how I feel for her in every episode. I just know that things aren't going to end well for her. She is so loyal to Emily and loves her so much but her need to have Emily love her back is just never going to be returned. It only makes it easier for Emily to manipulate her. I find it really sad. She has certainly made mistakes but she's a pretty good person and I hate how Emily's never been tempted to let Amily in the way she has with Nolan despite Amily being just as devoted (if not more so). This still bugs me even though I know at this point it will never get better. Sigh.
Then there's Jack and the end of the episode... I kind of can't believe that he dumped her like that. I realise that he doesn't like the Grayson's, doesn't like Amily lying to him again but he backed away from her a bit too quickly. There have been times that I bought that he was falling in love with her but his behaviour this season shows that he really hasn't. This scene really came off as him taking the opportunity to use what happened as an excuse to end things between them. If he really didn't want to be with her he should have just broken it off without the whole 'blaming her' part of it. He was really a controlling asshole this episode (actually the whole season thus far hasn't been his best.) So again - poor Amily. She deserves so much better. At the least she really needs someone to hug her.
