• I loved all the Nikita/Alex scenes we got in this episode. The best part of Alex becoming an agent is that we’re going to be able to get more scenes of them interacting now. I loved their hug. I really loved how tightly Alex clung to Nikita.

• “If we’re partners we have to trust each other.” / “So trust me.” Yeah she should have gone with ‘we have to be truthful with each other’. I don’t understand why Nikita didn’t just tell Alex the truth though.

• I don’t understand or agree with Nikita opening up so fully about Alex to Ryan. I mean she completely compromised Alex’s cover and that’s not something she did even for Owen. She barely knows Ryan and what she does know about him is that he is on Percy’s radar and that he would be easy to intimidate/break so why the hell would she reveal all about Alex? Especially since giving him that much information wasn’t actually necessary. All she had to tell him was that her inside mole in Division was implanted with the kill chip. Voila. Ryan knows why she’s doing what she’s doing and Alex’s cover remains completely safe with only her and Nikita knowing the truth. Oka, she didn’t actually say ‘Alex is my mole’ but it wouldn’t be hard for him to put the pieces together. The fact that Ryan is keeping a file and at the end adds Alex’s name to a post it just confirms that it was a misstep.

• Another thing that seems like it could be a misstep to me is Nikita controlling what Alex’s implant reads. Now in the field when she needs Alex to do something contrary to orders, or if she needs Alex to go somewhere unusual it makes sense to use it in that instance. But at the end of the episode to use it when Alex was meeting her at the store seemed risky to me. Does Division not have cameras on their agents? Wouldn’t there be more attention on Alex since she’s new? It seems to me that there is a very good chance of this potentially backfiring at some point. All that needs to happen is for Alex to be seen in one place, by an agent or caught on camera, while her tracker says she’s somewhere else and she is screwed.

• So is Alex is still implanted with the kill chip then? I thought the whole point of breaking in was to disable it somehow but instead it appears that she can just control the GPS element of the implant. Does this mean Alex still has an active kill chip in her?

• I loved Nikita intimidating the crap out of Birkoff just by walking in the door, especially after Birkoff’s bored reaction to Ryan trying his best to intimidate him.

• “You were right.”
“Yeah, that usually happens. Then again it usually gets me in trouble.”

I love Nikita’s response. She’s just so casual about how awesome she is and it amused me.

• I loved Nikita’s video recruiting diversion. Especially where we got to see various people’s reactions to it. I really want to get more of the agents and recruits reacting and commenting on Nikita. Also she looked really good in that video.

• How cool would it be if she actually did manage to get another mole or two? Trust would be iffy but with Alex still there she could have Alex double check information until the other mole was trustworthy. Oh! What if Jaden approached Nikita and began working for her, and at first Nikita doesn’t tell Alex? That could be fascinating and it would open up the Alex/Jaden relationship to multiple levels of change – before they know they’re working both working for Nikita, Alex’s reaction when she learns Jaden is a mole as well, and then how they interact when they learn they’re on the same side. Actually I really hope TPTB do something with this recruiting video because there are so many possibilities and it could be so interesting. I mean perhaps Jaden is sent in to be a mole for Amanda or something?

• It was kind of neat to see JT on the show. Actually it took me a second to really realise what it meant and then it became kind of became awesome. JT is on the show as Alex’s neighbour/love interest Nathan; Alex who once played Colleen during a time when Colleen/JT were the big couple. I can’t believe I didn’t realise that right away. I wonder if Lyndsy helped him to get the job and if they’re having fun working together again? Anyway before I realised that I just thought it was neat to see an actor from one of my soaps on the show. I don’t often see soap actors manage to find roles on primetime TV.

• Nikita kissing Ryan was kind of meh. I definitely think it was yet more manipulating and not romantic but it was just so random that I’m not sure what to think.

• I love the revelation that Alex’s family were rich and powerful because of course there had to be a reason that Division targeted them. Now was her family ‘bad’ or ‘good’? And is there anything left of their organisation and/or family? I kind of got the feeling that her dad was a crime lord/mob boss of some sort and that he might have been training Alex as his successor. If that’s true then does that organisation still exist? Another aspect of this information is that it puts a different spin on Alex and fancy clothes – she’s not, or wasn’t, just an average person who ended up getting a horrible hand dealt to her, she was rich and privileged at one point in her life.
